1 LIST OF FUNCTIONS
The control system consists of 3 types of modules,
the control system (U1 module) placed in the cabin
as well as shaft modules (U3) placed at every land-
ing and one U5 module is connected between the
U1 and U3 modules.
2 INITIAL TEST
Perform the following test from within the cabin:
1. Check that the Freq control DIP switch is in the ON position.
2. Run the lift up and down from the platform buttons.
3. While the lift is running, note which of the indicators UP/DOWN is lit up on the U1 module (main
control).
4. If the lift moves in the same direction as indicated then the 3-phase sequence is OK; otherwise
change the phase sequence.
3 POWER-OFF
When a Power down is required for a longer period of time, make sure that fuses E2 and E3 are
switched off.
Otherwise the battery will be discharged and may get damaged. A fully-charged battery supplies the sys-
tem with power for 7 hours.
Only use Lead-acid batteries with a 3.4 Ah capacity if the battery must be replaced.
Batterytest.
The battery is tested once a month by turning on the emergency light for a period and then measuring
the power consumption.
4 STOP SWITCH
The stop switches consists of 3 bi-stable reed switches, 1 (b31), X (b33) and TOP(b36). (X is only used
when the lift has more than 2 landings)
The figure to the left shows the placement of the magnets in the shaft.
The distance between the sensor and the magnet should be 15-20 mm to assure correct functionality. If
the distance it too small, a double-click may result in the sensor. See page 10.
The position of the magnets can be seen in the figure to the right.
5 SHAFT MODULES
5.1 U5 FUNCTIONS
5.2 U5 CONNECTIONS
Fig. 3 U5
When the error alarm is activated the Service alarm reset, button will light up, Error relay R1 is triggered
and all call buttons will begin to flash green/red.
5.5 U3 CONNECTIONS
The shaft modules U3 are identical and interchangeable.
Connectors and are used for communications to and from the U3-module. It does
not matter in which order they are connected.
If the number of indicated U3 modules does not match the actual number, there is an error - there may
be a defective connectors or faulty U3-module.
An actual, ongoing communication is indicated by a random flashing U5.8, U5.10 and that the Front pan-
el 9 (Signal) is lit.
If U5.8, U5.10 or Front panel 9 (Signal) is lit up continuously or is shut-off, then this indicates an error.
If indicator lamp 8 is lit on shaft module U5, then search for the error in the vicinity of the U3 door mod-
ules. If indicator lamp 10 is lit on shaft module U5, then search for the error in the direction of control
system U1.
6 FRONT PANEL
plug 1 , 2–pin b31 Stop switch 1 Input for stop switch on first floor. When lift is on this
floor the switch is open and control light 1 is not lit.
Plug 2 , 2–pin b33 Stop switch X Input for stop switch on intermediate floor. When lift
is on this floor the switch is open and control light X is
not lit. See page1
Plug 3 , 2–pin b36 Stop switch, top Input for stop switch on top floor. When lift is on this
floor the switch is open and control light Top is not lit.
See page1
Plug 4 , 8–pin b11–b16 Cabin call Input for cabin calls. Button is connected between pin
7 and desired floor.
Plug 5 , 4–pin Communication Input is used for programming the control system and
for connecting the modem.
Plug 6 , 2–pin Alarm telephone Connecting the alarm telephone. Same connector as
for plug 7.
Plug 8 , 2–pin Contactor Input for check of main contactors. The control light is
lit when a contactor is activated. If the indicator lights
up when the lift stands still it is probably because a
contactor is stuck or fuse E3 is off.
Plug 10, 2–pin H1 Cabin lighting Cabin lighting (230VAC) is connected here.
Plug 13, 4–pin E2, E3 Fuses Connecting fuses for safety chain and battery.
Plug 15, 3–pin b8.1-n Door, b8.1-n Lock Connecting the cabin cable for measuring the door
and lock series 1–3.
Plug 16, 2–pin b60 Safety switch Connector for service hatch.
Plug 21, 2–pin b2 Safety switch Connector for Emergency stop platform.
Plug 22, 2–pin b19 Overload Connector, overload switch. Control lamp should nor-
mally be lit.
Plug 23, 6–pin Cabin panel Connector for Emergency alarm button. Output for
Overload light and Alarm control light.
Plug 24, 2–pin H2 Emergency lighting Output for emergency lighting 24VDC.
Plug 25, 4–pin F1 Frequency inverter Output for control of frequency inverter.
8 DIP-SWITCH SETTINGS
There are 16 DIP-switches on the control system
where a number of variables can be changed ac-
cording to the following:
1: off 2: off = 10 %
1: on 2: off = 20 %
1: off 2: on = 40 %
1: on 2: on = 80 %
1: on 2: off = floor 2

When the indicator “X” (1–6) is lit you can decrease parameter “X” by pressing cabin button 1 and in-
crease it by pressing cabin button 2.
Example Adjust floor indicator for first landing. Place the lift on the first floor. Press the buttons on the
control system so that one of 1–6 is lit. Push the black button so that indicator 1 is lit.
Press the first and second cabin buttons to adjust the floor indicator. When you are finished press the
red RESET button to return to normal mode.
Move the lift to another floor and repeat the setup procedure.

ERROR MEMORY
11 ERROR MEMORY
The Error memory can show 24 types of errors. The error messages can be viewed by a quick push on
the black button beside the Err-indicator.
Reset the Error Memory completely by holding the black button down for 3 s. Errors indicated are reset
automatically 7 days after the latest event has occurred.
The error message (one of 24 possible) is shown by a control lamp (1-6) in four different groups (levels
1–4).
When the button is pressed the first time the Err-lamp will shine continuously and the control lamps 1-6
indicate the following:
Level 1
Level 2
1. These errors activates the error relay in U5 causing the beeper to sound when the lift is running. Battery capacity (2:1) and
emergency lighting missing (2:3), must be tested once a month. Perform the test by turning on the emergency lighting for
2..5 hours. The battery current must not drop below 24.5 V during this time.
2. If the Err-lamp flashes rapidly, the lift is blocked by these signals. If it is blocked for more than 30 seconds the error relay in
U5 will be activated.
Level 3
Level 4
1. Photocell switch above during run (only valid for B-lift/Aritco 2000).
2. Photocell test stop > 3 errors (only valid for B-lift/Aritco 2000).2
3. Lock error (> 6 seconds)(only valid for B-lift/Aritco 2000).
