Objectives : By the end of the lesson S.s will be able to


• Use school vocabulary to compare two schools through pair discussions.
Timing Procedure / Activities Dynamic T-S,S,S-S Materials

Warm up :
5 Mns T.P.R game : Classroom Objects (touch the board…) T_S Classroom objects
Presentation :
• Point out the picture of the school. Say These are the rooms T-S Texebook
5 Mns in a school. Listen. Then listen and say. Audio
• Play the audio. Hold up your book and point to the rooms as
each word is said.
Practice: T-S Textbook
10 Mns Listen and Complete : S-S Audio
• Point out the picture of Georgio and his friends. say Listen Board
and write the words you hear. • Do the first item together.
Play the audio. Stop it after the first item. Ask What word do
you hear? (classrooms) •
Play the rest of the audio. Pause after each item to let the
students write the word. Say Check your answers with a
partner. • Ask different students to read the sentences aloud.
Write the missing words on the board for students to check.
C. Read and Answer
Give students time to read and answer the questions individually.
• Pair students to check their answers. S-S Textbook
10 Mns Board
D. Compare
Draw the Venn Diagram in the book on the board. Gesture
10 Mns the meaning of compare. Do one item together. Pair students
to compare their answers. Monitor their pair work then T-S Board
review the answers together with the class. S-S Textbook
School subjects: Notebooks
1. Look at the pictures. Listen. Then listen and repeat.
• Play the audio. Hold up your book and point to each picture
10 Mns as each word is said. Write the following sentence frames on T-S Board
the board. I (don’t) have math this year. I (don’t) like math. S-S Textbook
How about you? Pair students to discuss the question in #2 Audio
• Point out the pictures. Say Look at the pictures. Write the
missing words. Ask different students to read the sentences
aloud.
• Point out the second part of the exercise and read the
sample sentence. Say Write two sentences about where you
have your school subjects. • Give students 2-3 minutes to
write their sentences. Ask a few students to read their
sentences aloud. Alternatively, have students write their
sentences on the board.
Production:
• Briefly point out the two schedules (one in each page). Read
the directions and the sample conversation. Say Ask
questions. Write the missing information in Talia’s schedule. •
10 Mns Pair students. Say Take turns asking questions about Talia’s T-S
schedule. Walk around and monitor their conversations. Help S-S Textbook
as needed. • Close the activity by asking students the details of
Board
Talia’s schedule. For example, ask What does Talia have at
9:00?
