Erasmus
Erasmus
1)Introduction
Good day, esteemed colleagues and friends!
Were it not for the Erasmus program, countless students would miss out on an
unparalleled opportunity to broaden their academic and cultural horizons. Today, I am
privileged to share with you how this program has transformed lives, including my
own.
4)Why Erasmus?
We, students from Kazakhstan, chose the Erasmus program in Poland for several
compelling reasons. Firstly, it is an incredible opportunity to study abroad and receive
a high-quality education. Secondly, it offers a chance to meet new people and forge
friendships with individuals from different countries. Thirdly, Poland is a beautiful
country with a rich history and culture that beckons exploration.
5)What is the Erasmus Program?
The Erasmus program, officially known as Erasmus+, is an initiative of the European
Union designed to support education, training, youth, and sport across Europe. It
enables students to study, train, and gain invaluable experience abroad. Should
students wish to immerse themselves in a different educational system and culture,
Erasmus provides the perfect avenue.
Study Abroad:Studying abroad is the perfect time to learn a new language.
Surrounded by people from all over Europe, you will have the opportunity to learn
any language you desire. There could be no better place to learn a language than in its
country of origin, where you can practice your new skills daily. The best way to learn
is to force yourself to use the language in various everyday situations, such as in
stores and restaurants.
Language Learning:
Culture and Adventure :When you start living in a multicultural environment, you
will learn a lot from other cultures. Dealing with people from all over the world daily
will eliminate some of the myths about other countries and hopefully any
preconceptions you had about different cultures. Engaging with several cultures could
help you become more tolerant and understanding. One of the benefits of Erasmus is
precisely that: learning how to be open-minded towards other people.
travel :My number one reason for wanting to study abroad was to travel. Travel
brings me a special kind of happiness that is hard to explain. Traveling means
exploring a new culture and getting lost in unfamiliar places. The spontaneous trips
you will take during your year or semester abroad will leave you with countless
stories to tell. My advice to you is to travel as much as you can! Check out The Crete
Trip and tell me you don’t want to experience it too!
Personal Growth:There are few things more exciting than venturing into another
country. After all, new experiences will rub off on you and shape your personality.
You learn how to deal with difficult situations and find your way in a completely new
environment. You will draw on this wealth of experience many times in the future.
New Friends:You will get to know people who are in the same situation as you: alone
in the unknown and out of their comfort zone. People in such cases tend to rely on
each other and join forces to face adversities together. You will create strong bonds
with your Erasmus family and most likely form friendships for life.
International Connections:If you don’t know anyone, it might be a bit stressful at
first. However, if you’re on your own, you’ll quickly make connections – for
example, in classes, sports courses, or at parties. It’s human nature to socialize. The
good thing about it is that new acquaintances can sometimes lead to important
professional contacts. Moreover, deep friendships that enrich one’s life are often
formed abroad.
Learning to Stick to a Budget:You will be in charge of everything during your stay
abroad: shopping for groceries, managing accommodation, and handling
transportation, to name a few. Although it might be hard at first to cope with
everything, you will soon become independent and start managing like a pro. This
experience will prepare you for the future if you plan on living on your own later on.
One of the greatest advantages is the positive attitude of the professors. They are not
only highly knowledgeable but also approachable and supportive. Their
encouragement and willingness to help students succeed create a nurturing
educational environment.
Conclusion:since I arrived here, I have come to understand that the world is much
larger and more diverse than I could have imagined. My new acquaintances have
changed my worldview and made me a more open and tolerant person. These changes
have become an essential part of my personal and professional development, and I am
sincerely grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey.Thank you for your
attention! I hope my experience inspires you to seek out new acquaintances and
discoveries.
