1. Have you ever been on an areoplane?

- I’m a student and I don’t have money to my name. => so I have never had a chance to travel by plane.
Travelling by plane is out of / beyond my budget. = travelling by plane / plane is ticket is so expensive that I can’t
afford it.

But in the future, if I have a lot of money / I have a deep pocket, I will take a plane to somewhere on my holiday.
- Yes. I have traveled by plane a few times. The last time was last summer when I had a trip to Da Nang with my
family. I’m really keen on travelling by plane because it is not only convenient but also very fast. I think
traveling by airplane is the best means of transport.
- Yes. I have travelled by plane a few times. But actually, it is not my thing. To be honest, I can’t stand waiting so
long at the airport for check in or getting on board. It makes me lose my patience.

2. Which do you prefer, travelling by car or travelling by bus?

Having a car is out of my budget.
Travelling by bus is cheap/ dirt cheap / within my budget.
- If I have to choose between travelling by car and traveling by bus, the latter is my better choice. The reason is
that bus ticket is usually very cheap and within my budget. As you know, I’m a student and I can’t afford
travelling by car or taxi. Another reason is when traveling by bus, I can spend time enjoying my favorite books
or music to let my hair down before starting lessons at school.
- Travelling by bus is my better choice. There is no doubt that travelling by bus is much cheaper than travelling by
car. So it is suitable for a student like me. Moreover, I suppose that travelling by bus is a good way for me to
protect the environment. As you know, we should use public transport more and cut down on using private
transport like car.
- I’m not into travelling by car at all. To be honest, I’m usually carsick whenever I have a car trip. It makes me
very tired and uncomfortable. Travelling by bus is better because it goes slower and I can have a better view. As
a result, if I want to travel somewhere far away, bus is always my choice.
- I prefer travelling by car to by bus because of its convenience. Actually, with a car, I can travel anywhere I want,
and I don’t have to depend on other people like when travelling by bus. Moreover, it is undeniable that a car is
much faster than a bus. I hope that, in the future, I will have money to my name so I can by a car to make my
life more convenient and comfortable.
- Well, car is my better choice. Actually, I live in a city with not many buses. I usually use my private transport like
motorbike to move around the city. Sometimes I get a lift in car with my father. The car is not only fast but also
very convenient.
3. Do you like travelling by train?

- Yes, travelling by train is the transport of my choice whenever I want to travel somewhere far away. While
travelling on the train, not only can I enjoy the beautiful views from the window, but I also can save a lot of
money. As you know, the ticket is very cheap and within my budget. Although it is not very fast, it is always my
best choice if I have a trip on my holiday.
- Travelling by train is very fun. Last year, I had a trip to Hanoi with my friends. We decided to try travelling by
train because we had never tried it before. I was not disappointed with our experience. Although the train
traveled not very fast, It gave us a chance to talk and play some games together. It was such a wonderful time
for us to spend time together and tighten our friendship.

- Noisy . It is so noisy that I cant’ stand/ I feel uncomfortable.

No, it is always the last choice if I can’t have any other choice. The reason is travelling by train is so slow. I don’t
want to waste a long time on train and do nothing. Moreover, it is so noisy that I can’t stand it. Last but not
least, whenever I travel by train, it gives me a bad headache. I guess I was train sick.
4. How often do you go to the cinema?
I don’t have money to my name, I can’t afford to go to the cinema too often.
I just enjoy films in the cinema once a month.
I rarely go to the cinema.
If I am in the mood for a movie, I just stay at home and play a film on my laptop.

5. Is it possible to have a good day out without spending much money?

Go camping. I can prepare foods at home for the camping trip.
Go to the cinema. The ticket is dirt cheap.
Hang out with my friend in a park / a coffee shop.
- Of course. Why not? To be honest, I’m a student and I don’t have a deep pocket. I usually have so much fun
without spending money. I know that a lot of people use money to buy them fun. But that is not my case. At
the weekend, I usually hang out with my friends to the cinema or a coffee shop. The ticket and drinks are pretty
cheap. I can lift up my mood after the that.
- Yes of course. If you want to have fun but you don’t have much money, why don’t you go camping/ have a
picnic in a park or in the mountain. Take me for an example, at the weekend, I usually go to a park near my
house with friend to have a picnic. Because we prepare everything at home, we don’t need to spend any
money at the picnic site. Thanks to the picnic, we can let our hair down after stressful lessons at school.

6. Do you like learning about space?

- It is out of my major/ beyond my major / knowledge.
So it is very difficult to understand.
But in the future, if I have a chance/ if I have more free time, I will find out more about this topic.

- Yes. I’m always hungry for knowledge of different kinds. I think space is very interesting. Sometimes, I go online
or go to my school library to read books or documents about space or aliens. Thanks to that, I can open my
mind about loads of things like stars and galaxies.

Is it important to study about wildlife?

Well, my mind went blank for a second.
I’m not sure because wildlife/ this topic is out of my major.
But I guess wildlife plays an important role in our liveS. Every government is trying to protect wildlife and rare
animals.
After this exam today, when I come home, I will find out more about it on the internet to enrich my knowledge.

7. Would you like to travel to space one day?

- I think that/ suppose that/ believe travelling to space is so expensive that I can’t afford.
But in the future, I have money to burn, I would like to give it a try and challenge myself with new experience.

- No way. It is very scary to travel into space. As you know, space is something that people have not much
knowledge about as well as control. If I had a trip to space, it would be very dangerous for me. We don’t know
what can happen in space.
I know that many people are keen on travelling into space, but it is absolutely not my thing.

Then I can have a beautiful view of different stars and other planets.
I think it takes a lot of training to become an astronaut, but it is worth trying.
- Yes. Of course, since I was young / a little boy / a little girl, I have always dreamt of becoming an astronaut. The
reason is that, I want to explore space and open my mind about different stars and other planets. With the
development of technology, I hope that my dream will come true one day in the future.

8. Is it better to learn more about the Earth or more about space?

- Learning about space is beyond the budget of the governments.

We should spend money dealing with problems on the Earth such as environmental pollution or global warming. So
we can have better place to live. It is much better than finding out about space which people/ human have very
little knowledge about.

- No. To be honest, I’m a student………………… Buying gifts for other people too often will burn a hole in my
pocket. In the future, if I have ……………..,I will buy presents for my family and friends more because I know it is
a good way to tighten our relationship.

- Yes. I usually buy gifts for my parents who are the most important people in my life. For example, on the last
women’s day, I bought my mum a bunch of flowers and her favorite dress. It made her very happy. I think giving
presents to our important ones is a good way to return their love for me and strengthen our relationship.

11. What presents would you prefer to have?

- At the moment, I want to get money as present. Actually, I’m trying my best to save up money to a new motorbike.

- To be honest, I am saving up money to buy a laptop. So I would like to get money as a present. If I have enough
money, I will buy a brand new laptop immediately, then it will be more convenient for me to work and study.

12. What’s the best present you’ve ever received?

 On valentine day, show my love to him/her => tighten / strengthen our love/ relationship.
- Well, I have got a lot presents, but I one I love most is a history book which I received from my best friend on my
last birthday. To be honest, I’m always hungry for knowledge about history. So I was really happy when having this
book. The book tells loads of interesting stories in Vietnamese wars. Thanks to the book, I can open my mind more
about our history and cultures. Moreover, when enjoying it, I fell like I can live up the old days and have a sense of
national pride.
13. Tell us about the clothes you like wearing.
- I don’t have any fashionable clothes. It is because this kind of clothes my burn a hole in my pocket. Actually, mostly
I have a lot of simple items of clothing such as T-shirts and Jeans. Although they are cheap, they are still nice
enough for me to go out or go to school.
In the future, if I have money to burn, I will buy more trendy clothes.
- Well, I’m a big fan of fashion, so I’m really into shopping for fashionable clothes. At the weekend, I usually go to a
department store to buy some trendy and brand new outfit. Thanks to that, I can satisfy my passion and have more
beautiful clothes to wear when hanging out with my lover and my friends.
- Most young people are very fond of fashionable clothes, but that is not my case. To be honest, I find myself pretty
simple, so I prefer simple clothes. When you open my closet, you will see a lot of black and white which is basic and
easy to mix and match together. Moreover, when I go shopping for clothes, I have a preference of T-shirt and Jeans
which I wear for different events like going to school or hanging out with friends.

14. Do you like taking part in competition?

- Yes. I’m keen on attending competitions, especially sport competition. To be honest, I’m pretty good at swimming,
so I always look for swimming competition to join to challenge myself. Thanks to competition, not only can I know
how well I am doing, but I also learn a number of valuable lessons from other people.
- I’m really keen on the feeling of wining and getting prizes, so I always apply to enter any competitions in my school.
Not only that, when going to a competition, I get a chance to meet a lot of people who are better than me. Thanks
to that I can learn a lot from them as well as exchanging skills. Last but not least, the event is also a great time for
me to meet and make friends with others who have the same hobbies. When doing so, I can expand my circle of
friends.

- Is so stressful that I can’t stand.

- Am not good at any thing.
- No, competition is not my thing. Whenever I have a test, I feel so stressful that I can’t do well. For that reason, I
usually avoid joining any competitions.
- I find myself not good at any thing, so joining competition is not my cup of tea. But I’m trying my best to study
English / chess / ……, and make more progress. I hope that in the future I will be able to attend a competition to
challenge myself and have new experiences.

15. Is there anything that you are really good at?

- Since I was young, I have had talent for sports. I usually got good marks in physical lessons at school. I am going to

good time.
