The survey form was completed by Grade 4 to Grade 6 learners of
______________________________________School, with a total of __________ respondents.
The data from this survey indicates a clear need to prioritize and improve ICT
knowledge in various areas among these learners.
The data shows that __________ of the learners, particularly in Grade 5 and
Grade 6, already have a basic understanding of computer operations and concepts as
they learn about in their classes. However, majority of Grade 4 to Grade 6 learners at
______________________________________School have a limited understanding of
PowerPoint and digital footprint.
These findings highlight the importance of directing attention and implementing
interventions to improve the digital literacy skills of students in Grade 4 to Grade 6. It
is vital to provide them with the necessary knowledge and competencies in the field of
information and communication technology.
Students understand the significance of utilizing different applications to
enhance creativity and collaboration, but there is a need to improve their proficiency
in using these applications for everyday classroom tasks.
Therefore, ______________________________________School might need additional

Based on the information provided, in Domain A: Technological
Operations and Concepts, approximately 55% of the teachers answered “Always”, 33%
of the teachers answered “Seldom” and 12% answered “Never”. This suggest that the
other half of the teachers may require additional support or assistance in technology
operations and concepts. This indicates that there is a need to address the skills or
knowledge gaps among these teachers to improve their proficiency in using and
understanding technology. Providing targeted training, resources, or mentoring
opportunities can help them catch up and enhance their abilities in this domain.

In Domain B: Social and Ethical Competency, 40% of the teachers

responded with “Always”, 42% responded “Seldom” and 18% answered “Never”. This
indicates that a significant portion of the teachers may not fully understand or adhere
to legal practices when it comes to the use of technology. It highlights the need for
additional training or education for teachers regarding legal considerations in the use
of technology. By increasing teachers’ awareness and knowledge of legal practices
related to technology, they can better guide their learners and ensure a safe ethical
learning environment.

The data in Domain C: Pedagogical Competency, it is evident that some

teachers responded “Never” which is 21%, particularly in terms of applying technology
to facilitate a variety of appropriate assessments and evaluation strategies that
recognize the diversity of learners. The reason cited for this is the school’s location in a
far-flung area, which lacks internet connectivity, and the fact that some learners do
not have access to gadgets. The location of the school and absence of internet
connectivity present significant challenges in incorporating technology into
pedagogical practices. Furthermore, the lack of gadgets among some learners further
restricts their ability to engage with technology - enabled assessments and evaluation
strategies. Moreover, it would be valuable to provide training and support for teachers
on adopting pedagogical strategies that accommodate the limitations of the school’s
environment. By adopting these alternative approaches and providing necessary

support, teachers can create meaningful and effective assessment and evaluation
strategies that address the diverse needs of learners.

The data provided in Domain D: Professional Competency, it is apparent

that a substantial proportion of the teachers (44%) responded with “Seldom” when it
comes to proactively engaging in exploring and learning about new emerging
technologies. This finding suggests that there is a lack of proactive engagement among
teachers when it comes to keeping up with and learning about new technologies. It is
crucial for educators to continuously update their professional competency to stay
abreast of advancements in technology, as it plays a vital role in modern education. To
address this issue, it is recommended to provide professional development
opportunities focused on emerging technologies. This can include workshops, training
sessions or webinars that introduce teachers’ new tools, platforms, or methodologies.
Additionally, creating a supportive and collaborative environment where teachers can
share experiences and learn from one another can also contribute to their professional
growth and development.
Based on the different surveys conducted, teachers need to improve their ICT
integration competencies from Never to Seldom and those in Seldom to Always. As
the ones having direct contact with the learners, they have the greatest opportunity to
instill the importance of technologies in acquiring 21 st Century skills and solving
problems of the community. The Padagogy Wheel in Annex E will be used to guide
their selection of appropriate applications to use in the teaching and learning process
so that they can elevate the skills of students to be creative problem-solvers and
decision makers. Those who gauged themselves Proficient and Advanced can be
tapped to help facilitate workshops for teachers. ICT Coordinators will have a big role
in the training of other teachers. They can also be recommended for further
enhancement to better serve in the pool of ICT Trainers.

D. Infrastructure and Resource Needs (Put narratives in the concerns

below.)

D.1. DCP eClassroom/Device Status

The DCP eClassroom/Device Status indicates that the school requires

new ICT equipment to support activities related to information and
communication technology (ICT). To meet this need, it is recommended to
explore procurement options, involve relevant stakeholders, follow appropriate
processes, and plan for integrating new ICT equipment into the existing
infrastructure. By acquiring new ICT equipment, the DCP e-Classroom can
improve its technological capabilities and create a better learning environment
for learners.

D.2 Presence of Other ICT Equipment

The importance of ICT equipment is crucial for

comprehension and retention of information. By utilizing ICT equipment,

learners develop crucial digital literacy and 21st-century skills.

D.3 Personal Property of Teachers

Personal ownership of laptops, tablets, or smartphones for teachers is

crucial for their professional development, access to digital tools and resources,
collaboration, digital literacy, flexibility, and modeling digital citizenship. Even
though all teachers of ______________________________________School have
laptops, they can use this device in integrating their lessons in ICT. Providing
teachers with the necessary devices and support is an investment in their
continuous growth as educators and contributes to creating a digitally literate
teaching workforce. By embodying these principles, teachers help learners
develop their own digital skills and become responsible digital learners.

D.4 Internet Connectivity

______________________________________School is in a specific area, it

needs a strong and reliable internet connection that can effectively support
learners and teachers as they use and learn new software programs. It is
important to note that while a stable internet connection offers numerous
benefits, schools should also consider digital literacy training, online safety
measures, and equitable access to ensure learners can fully utilize the
advantages of a connected learning environment.

F. Stakeholders (refer to DPDS and ASP Coor)

______________________________________School's stakeholders are limited

to the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), school alumni, and other private
individuals. The importance of stakeholders lies in their ability to influence and
contribute to the educational process. Collaboration and engagement with
stakeholders lead to a more supportive and effective learning environment,
increased student achievement, and the overall success of the school. It is
essential for schools to establish strong relationships with stakeholders to
foster a sense of community and ensure the best possible outcomes for
learners.

G. Existing ICT Programs

______________________________________School currently lacks established

ICT programs, but they are devising a plan to install televisions in each
_______________________ This initiative aims to enable the residents to access
educational videos. The school intends to collaborate with PTA Officers or
Purok leaders to oversee the implementation. In addition to this,
______________________________________School incorporates ICT by utilizing
printed reading materials and conducting lesson discussions with the learners.
Moreover, teachers in Grade 4 to Grade 6 engage learners in hands-on
activities to teach them how to print pictures.
______________________________________School is making diligent efforts to
implement strategies aimed at fostering computer literacy among its learners.
