Shared Memory Not Available
Component: BC-CCM-MON-OS (Operating System Monitoring Tool), Version: 1, Released On:

Symptom
On transaction ST06 it is occurring an error with SAP Host Agent. SAPOSCOL is not starting due to Shared
Memory not Available.

Environment
SAP NetWeaver Release Independent

Reproducing the Issue


1. Start transaction ST06;
2. Choose on the Hierarchy the element 'Administer SAPOSCOL';
3. Click button Status;
4. The message 'Shared Memory not available' will display on screen;

Cause
SAPOSCOL cannot read the shared memory.

Resolution
1. Update your SAPHOSTAGENT to the latest version available according to KBA 2598404
(/sap/support/notes/2598404).
2. Clear the shared memory as explained on KBA 1627564 (/sap/support/notes/1627564)- SAPOSCOL:
Clearing Shared Memory and Updating SAPOSCOL.
3. Follow the steps mentioned on SAP Note 2179983 (/sap/support/notes/2179983) - Basic 'missing OS
data' troubleshooting.
