Remarks:
1. For DG and ATS connection cross refer for the
corresponding MoP
2. Though color code of EEU AC power cable may not
match with what we need, corresponding phases
and neutral should be identified carefully

Summary of AC Power and Grounding Cables
AC Power Cable Selection
Scenario 1: Total AC power cable length requirement is < =70m 4*16mm2
Scenario 2: Total AC power cable length requirement is 70m - 100m 4*25mm2 or (3*25mm2+16mm2)
Scenario 3: Total AC power cable length requirement is 100m - 150m 4*35mm2 or (3*35mm2+25mm2)
Proposed Cable Color Codes/If not coding with heat shrink tubes
Phase 1
Phase 2
YELLOW
Phase 3
- Unless use RED
the same color
- Unless use BLACK Neutral
heat shrink
the same color - Unless use Y/G
heat shrink the same color BLUE
Yellow/Green
heat shrink - Unless use - General (Not
the same color applicable from EEU
heat shrink meter to ACDB)
Note:
Among four core cables, the smallest core size should be always used for neutral connection whatever the color is but
the proposed color coding is to be maintained using heat shrink tubes of the desired color.
• CONCLUSION: For all GBT sites 4*16mm2 is proposed to be used Scenario 1 (< =70m)
4. Put the manual switch to OFF 5. Untighten plastic bolts at all corners of the
position and turn it OFF all breakers ACDB and then remove the cover safely

AC Power Connection Implementation
Remarks:
Minimum bending radius of the cables should 8 times of their overall radius or 12 times of individual cable
diameters
9. Make sure that all the connections are tighten well, all the breakers are in OFF position including
rectifier main input CB and then, switch ON the energy meter breakers
10. Measure the voltage readings of incoming supply at input ACDB (Terminal 1-4)
10. Turn OFF back the energy meter breakers and then, switch ON ACDB Manual
Switch (No need to cover it at this step and plier can be used carefully but the
actual position looks like as shown below)
ON Position

CB of Rectifier
12. Measure the voltage readings at output terminal of labeled as “Rectifier” within ACDB
Case 1: MAFI 1-Share ACDB (Terminal 9-12) (T9-L1, T10-L2, T11-L3, T12-N)
Case 2: MAFI 0-Share ACDB (Terminal 5-8) (T5-L1, T6-L2, T7-L3, T8-N)
13. Measure the voltage readings at rectifier main CB input (If at step 12, it is Okay)
14. Now turn OFF back all the breakers including energy meter
breakers and back the ACDB cover and tighten it correctly
