PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PACKAGING & LABELING PROCESS

• All Main Labels, Matchbooks, Size Strips and Multipack Bags use
the Master Attribute List for overall product attribution.

• Headercards, Wrapbands and Hangtags all have unique RD's for each
combination of attributes and do not use the list.

• The MASTER ATTRIBUTE LIST dictates available:

– Rises
– Fabrics
– Lengths / Inseams
– Design / Technology Attributes
– Panels (Maternity)
– Accessory Product Names (Fastlanes)

• Production + Merchandising should be selecting the attributes from

the Master List and noting them in the BOM usage field.

• Detailed steps can be found in the PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT INSTRUCTIONS

• Suppliers will only produce what is on the list, no exceptions.

• Merch should request any unavailable attributes during the regular seasonal
intake request dates.

GUIDELINES FOR FOLDING & POLYBAGS AND DC REQUIREMENTS

OVERVIEW

• All Old Navy Online (US and CDA), Franchise Direct and Asia RI merchandise shipped to Old Navy
Distribution centers should be packaged individually in a GID (Gap Inc. Direct) Polybag.

• The two priorities in this guideline are to reduce plastic use and improve DC efficiency.

• Each product category must follow the Folding Standards on the next page.

• Each Polybag must have an Old Navy LPN Sticker RD# 265225.
(LPN RD not needed in BOM, only Price Ticket apparel RD 269032 or Accessory RD 269034 needed.)

• Globally Approved Supplier: Mainetti

• Polybags must not exceed 18" W x 30" H.

• There should be no more than 1" excess Polybag on ALL sides.

• Unique /oversize product may deviate from the Folding Standards Guidelines. Flexibility is allowed
within reason. Vendor /GIS made polybag decisions must logically follow the priorities noted above.

• LPN Placement should be placed within rectangular brackets.
