Introduction
This food proposal aims to delineate the processes and finances that will be
exerted in making our chosen products, namely; sarongsong, inday-inday, and
cassava cake. Our team is composed of highly qualified entrepreneurs who strive to
promote quality innovation and cultural excellence in the food industry.
We have organized a broad framework that covers our marketing strategy,
pricing, and cost of ingredients, while also considering our limitations and how we
can counter them.
Our goal is not only to increase our income by creating traditional and locally
known Filipino delicacies at budget friendly prices, but also to spread awareness of
our culture’s flavorful cuisine. We strongly believe that our products follow a
promising future, and we are ready to invest in its success.
Main Goals
At Mangata Yums, our main goal is to establish ourselves as the leading
location for delectable desserts made in our community. Motivated by our
appreciation of cooking and dedication to providing the finest quality of food, we want
to provide our customers with the real sensations and tales of our neighborhood.
Our goal is to provide a broad range of sweets that reflect the distinctive tastes
and culinary legacy of our area. Each dish will tempt your taste buds while also
bringing the customs and histories that define what makes our cuisine unique with it.
Our ultimate objective is to provide the flavors of our area directly to your table
so you may enjoy delicious food without ever having to leave the comforts of your own
home. Our goal is to simplify the process for our customers so they can enjoy the rich
tastes and cultural value of our local food.
Mangata Yums is distinguished not just by the quality of its goods but also by
the stories they convey. Every dessert in our collection, whether it's a valued family
recipe or a treasured tradition passed down through the years, symbolizes a piece of
our community's past.
Along with our passion for creating delicious food, we also practice
sustainability and ethical business practices across all our operations. Our top
priorities include lowering our environmental impact, assisting local farmers and
producers, and promoting fair trade standards.
Product Description
Our product line-up is comprised of culturally significant pastries that are
reminiscent of family, childhood, and celebrations. We often see these foods in lively
events, such as fiestas and socials gatherings, and they have become a symbol of
many joyful memories. Which is why Mangata Yums desires to replicate these
nostalgic sentiments through our menu.
Our first course is called sarongsong, a dearly beloved cone-shaped glutenous rice
cake wrapped in banana leaves, commonly served in birthdays and fiestas. It is a
wonderful combination and balance of milky sweetness and the starchy goodness of
rice.
It is usually enjoyed as a substitute for bread because of its slightly similar
grainy texture and can also be enjoyed with condensed milk for extra flavor. For those
who want to feel energized with just a light snack, a carbohydrate-packed sarongsong
is just the treat for you.
Our second food item is known as inday-inday, another delicious product
made with glutenous rice. It is a sticky, jelly-like, colorful ball of rice flour and milk
steamed together and covered with grated coconut flesh to create one sugary delight,
perfect for summer days.
The contrasting taste of coconut chunks and the steamed rice ball produces
a refreshing burst of flavors that you can happily relish on any occasion or party, which
is why, this cuisine is always indulged in New Years celebrations.
Our third and last product is cassava cake, a popular Filipino dish. This is a
moist cake made from grated cassava, coconut milk, condensed milk, and topped
with a custard layer. This homely dessert reminds us of many Christmas nights and
Thanksgiving events. It has a rich, savory, and nutty palate that simply melts in your
mouth. If you’re looking for a flavorful dish that’s not too heavy, this is the treat for
you.

Marketing and Sales Strategies
As Mangata Yums' student entrepreneurs, we understand how important it is
to use realistic and affordable marketing techniques to increase the recognition of
our sweets while still managing our academic obligations. Here’s our strategy:
➢ Promotion on Social Media:
We plan to use social media sites that are free to use, including Facebook,
Instagram, and Twitter, to display our delicacies. We'll share stunning
photographs of our delicacies on social media with interesting captions that
showcase their distinct tastes and histories.
In order to improve our exposure, we will schedule frequent postings and make
use of well-liked hashtags associated with desserts and food. To reach a larger
audience, ask your friends, family, and other students to like, comment on, and
share our postings.
➢ Word-of-mouth recommendations:
Motivate satisfied customers to tell their friends and classmates about
Mangata Yums. Provide coupons or discounts in exchange for recommendations
to encourage word-of-mouth advertising.
Give consumers deals on referral cards so they may share them with others.
Offer discounts on the new customer's next purchases to both the person who
referred them and the new client.
➢ Outreach on Campus:
Make take advantage of campus activities and events to advertise Mangata
Yums. During club meetings, study sessions, or student fairs, set up a table or
booth to provide dessert samples and hand out posters about our product.
In short, Mangata Yums is all about bringing our community's favorite treats to
everyone's doorstep. With Sarongsong, Inday-Inday, and Cassava Cake, we're not
just selling snacks; we're sharing stories and memories. We've made sure our
prices are fair and our profits solid, so we can keep the sweetness going. And
when it comes to getting the word out, we're all about social media, happy
customers telling their friends, and popping up at campus events. Mangata Yums
is more than just desserts; it's a taste of home, wherever you are.
