You MUST bring with you:

BAR INSTALLATION
Unpack the Poly Studio USB, each box should contain:

• Poly Studio
• Remote control with 2 AAA batteries
• Power adapter
• 5 m USB 2.0 cable (Type-C to Type-A)
• Wall mount kit (DO NOT USE)
• Setup sheet
• A table stand (Only use if POC requests you to do so)

STEP ONE: INSTALL THE TRIPOD

1a. Remove the table stand:


Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the four
screws highlighted in red, and then slide out the stand.

1b. Install the Tripod:


Screw the top of the tripod into the bottom of the Studio
Bar.

Replace the screw in the Tripod’s quick release plate with


the specialist (longer screw) and attach it to the camera,
then click it into the tripod.

STEP TWO: CONNECT THE POLY STUDIO BAR

Whether the docking station is installed on the tripod or not it MUST be connected using a Dell WD19s Docking
Station.

The following instructions describe the installation of the Poly Studio bar on the free-standing tripod, however the
example provided on the right shows the installation of the Poly Studio Bar on the meeting table.

If asked to do so, ensure cables are neat and tidy.

The Poly Studio Bar

2a. Connect the USB-C cable from the Poly studio bar to the docking
station.

2b. Plug in the power cable to the socket.

2c. The HDMI cable from the monitor will go into the docking station. NB,
this may already be connected to the meeting table.

2d. Plug in the power cable to the socket.

2e. Where possible the docking station should be hidden to prevent the
accidental unplugging of cables. However, the cable required to
connect to the laptop should be clearly visible.

STEP THREE: FIRMWARE UPDATE

3a. Power up the Studio Poly Bar:

The Poly Studio USB video bar doesn’t have a power button. When
you plug in the power cord, the device turns on.

3b. When powered on the LED on the front of the bar will be chasing
White as it boots itself.

3c. A full length flashing amber LED denotes the firmware upgrade is

3d. Once the upgrade is complete the Poly Studio Bar will reboot itself.

3f. Open the Poly Lens App:

• To proceed agree to the end user license and click proceed.


• On the next screen, click continue as guest.

3g. Enter Password:

• When prompted input the default password – Polycom12#$


• On the next screen Click Begin Setup

3h. Input the following details:

• The country – e.g. “United States”


• Device Name: Office code, (example shows Stanford) followed by
meeting room name. These will be provided.
• Enter a new password: W1ll1s
• Tick use weak password box.

To avoid the Studio Bar having to be reverted to Factory Settings DO NOT


ENTER A DIFFERENT PASSWORD.

click continue as guest.

3i. Wi-Fi Set-up:


• Toggle Wi-Fi Switch to “On”
• WiFi name: Select “WS_AGILE” SSID (case sensitive) from the list.
(If it doesn’t appear select Other and Type the “WS_AGILE” in the
field and select protocol PSK)
• Enter Password: WTW5g!L32016
• Toggle “Auto connect” to on

Click Next
• Provisioning Method: Manual
• Server Type: HTTPS Sever
• Server Address: https://t5446.deviceprovisioning.dm.lens.poly.com
• Server User: PlcmSpIp
• Server password: PlcmSpIp

Click Next and Finish

3j. The latest version of the software need to be downloaded

If the firmware update is required, you will be prompted to update


it.

Click update.

3k. The software will then be installed.

The LED light above the camera will flash amber until it’s
installed and then the Poly Bar will reboot. The LED is white
whilst rebooting.

3l. If the next screen shows the Poly Studio Bar is not
connected, it may not have rebooted. Plug the power cord
out and plug it back in to connect the Poly Studio Bar.

STEP FOUR: CONNECT THE POLY STUDIO BAR REMOTE CONTROL.

If the Poly Studio Bar is mounted on the tripod, you will need to unclip it to access the button.

a. Hold down the Remote-Control Pairing button on the bottom of the Poly Studio bar until the lights blink blue and you hear a sound.
b. Hold down the Mute button on the remote control until you hear a sound. Once successfully paired, the light on the video bar will remain blue
for 3 seconds with sound. (If the light turns red the Poly Studio Bar is on mute, press the mute button on the remote to unmute)
c. Test you can control the Poly Bar via Teams and device settings, ensure camera is set to Poly Studio Bar, then use Preview and try the
zoom function.
d. If the sound from the bar is very low and is not adjusting via the laptop controls, use the remote control to fix the issue.

Unpack the Poly X70 Video bar, each box should contain:

• 2x HDMI cable
• Ethernet Cable
• Wall mount (Do not use)

The Poly Studio X70 is an intelligent, all-in-one, plug-and-play


device that can connect to your choice of video-as-a-service
platforms (MS Teams, Webex, Zoom) when using your laptop
as the driver for the meeting. It can also be set up to run
Teams without a laptop and be controlled with a touch panel,
but this is not the standard for WTW.
The Poly Studio X70 ships with the Poly Studio X70 video bar,
the power supply and cable, a LAN cable, two HDMI cables,
and a wall mount.
Poly Studio X70 ports include 3.5mm Audio In, 3.5mm Audio
Out, Poly Expansion Microphone, two Network ports, Power,
two HDMI Display ports, an HDMI In port, two USB-A ports,
and a USB-C port.

STEP ONE: ATTACH THE STAND

1a. Unpack all the contents from the box, Install the optional stand (shipped separately) as shown in the below picture:

STEP TWO: CONNECT THE POLY X70 VIDEO BAR

Pre-requisites for IT to configure from backend - IP address,


Initial set up to be completed before the Poly
Serial number, and MAC address.
Bar is placed in its final position.

2a. Connect the X70 a Network port with a LAN cable.

2b. Then, connect the HDMI cable to the Display 1 HDMI Out port on the Poly Studio X70 and the HDMI In port on your monitor,
connect mouse as shown in below picture.

2f. Click on arrow to exit and disconnect HDMI Monitor and Mouse cables from the Poly X70

2g. The Studio Bar can now we set up in position

2i. The HDMI cable from the room display/TV should connect to the docking station. The only thing we are going to connect to the
laptop is the USB-C cable coming out from Docking station. This will cause the Studio X70 bar to become a peripheral device to
the laptop and will allow the camera and audio devices to be detected in Teams settings.

2j. Now we need to connect the USB- C cable coming out of the docking station to the laptop.
