The Bible can be described as the scriptures, the covenant and law and testament.
The Bible existing evidence can be relevant in different jobs including information management.
The Bible serves as origin of inspiration and guide for everyone who believe in God. In the book
of 2 Timothy 3 verses 16 and 17, it states “ all scriptures is given by inspiration of God and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of
God may be perfect throughly furnished unto all good works”
The Bible emphasized and it was inspired, meaning and it was written according to the
inspiration God gave the prophets and other men of God. In addition, the Bible exits of doctrine
which implies a belief or set of beliefs to guide the Christians and others that might see the

INFORMATION LITERACY AND KNOWLEDGE

Information literacy is the ability to find, evaluate, organize, use, and communicate information
in all its various formats, most notably in situations requiring decision making, problem solving,
or the acquisition of knowledge.
Information literacy is a set of abilities requiring individuals
to recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate and use
effectively the needed information.
Information literate person should be able to search for information and identity the right
source of information that can be accessed as required by the User to bring filfullment.
John's account in the new testament of the bible expresses the relevance of information by
searching through the right source
John 5:39
*Search the scriptures;for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they that testify of
me*
KJV

It's only when information is searched from the right source, that we can get right and viable
Information
A good information literate must be able to read so that he/she will be familiar with things
happening in the information world
Therefore scripture backing this idea is seen in the book of Acts when paul was admonishing
the people of Thessalonica

*These were people that received the word with all readiness of mind*

As an information manager, one needs to be abreast of happenings with current and relevant

information.

RELIGION
Firstly, What is religion? There have been many definitions of religion, according to Merriam
Webster’s dictionary; Religion is the service and worship of God or the supernatural. It is the
commitment of devotion to religious faith or observance. It is further defined as a particular
system of belief or worship such as Christianity or Judaism. An important aspect of religion is
worship. Worship is simply defined as honour which implies giving praise, prayer, hymns,
adorations with honour and a strong belief system.
To a Christian, God is the supreme Being who created everything seen and unseen including
Angels which are spirit beings in accordance to Psalm 148:13. Christians who believe in God
are seen as fallen angels. Fallen Angels are disobedient Angels who were against God’s
authority and therefore sinned against God, such angels are referred to as gods. Man also
worships the fallen Angels i.e the spirit being created by God. The Bible which is the holy book
of the Christians stated how everything was created from the beginning of time. This is seen in
the first book of the bible called Genesis. Chapter One verse one and two says 1:1 In the
beginning God created heaven and the earth. 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and
darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the
waters. This is the beginning of life according to Christians.
There are so many religions in the world today. Majority of which are “so called christian”.
These are people who claim they are christian but are not. A Christian is a follower of Christ.
They believe Jesus or the Son of God is who God has authority over his creation. A Christian is
supposed to imitate the life of God and cannot be considered one if they don’t. There aren’t
good or bad christians but one can do something bad and ask for forgiveness. There are over
30,000 denominations of so-called christians in the world today. They are regarded as Churches
but God only has one church which is the church of God. Those who do what they are
supposed to do as Christian and follow the footsteps of Jesus the Christ through the word
Christianity derived. Anyone who says he or she is a Christian but doesn’t follow the ten
commandments given by God is seen as a heathen as said in Exodus chapter 20 verses 3 to 17
and Deuteronomy chapter 5 verses 6 to 14.
There are non Christians who don’t believe that Christ is the Son of God. They belong to
other religious groups. Some worship God the way. Some of them worship God the way they
were taught and some of them worship the creatures of God. There are also some people who
don’t believe in a supreme being and they are regarded as Atheists. They believe that the world
existed by chance.
Religion can also be used as an instrument of manipulation. The pastors, imam, evangelist,
bishops etc have used religious teaching to brainwash their followers to do their bidding.
Religion has been used by government leaders to gain votes by paying the pastors who have
large influence. Many of the atrocities committed in the world today are done by religious
fanatics which is why Karl Marx described religion as an opium.
Religion is a powerful instrument in the hands of religious devils who allure innocent souls
into committing atrocities. Opium is an addictive narcotic drug which is why Karl Marx described
religion as an opium. Religion is addictive and can be manipulated in the hands of untrustworthy
men. A person could do anything for their religion and follow the orders of evil men who call
themselves pastors.
Religion can affect students' learning. Although praying is important, a student should also
devote more time to his/her studies so God can bless those efforts with success.
