SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
Students are advised to adhere to these rules and regulations at ALL TIMES in order to realize
academic excellence. Students are further encouraged to use their COMMON SENSE i.e., doing the
right thing, in the right place, at the right time.
1. SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
Students MUST report to school on the first day of opening unless stated otherwise. A
student who comes to school late must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to explain
the reason for reporting late.
2. DRESS CODE
All students should be in proper school uniform while in school, when travelling to and from
school and when representing the school in co-curricular activities. Civilian attire will be
confiscated.
3. SCHOOL ROUTINE
All students must attend all sessions in class, Laboratory, Games, P.E, Clubs or Societies
and Preps as required unless exempted by relevant authority. Students who don’t adhere to
school routine will be sent home to come with a parent or guardian.
4. PROHIBITED VICES
Drinking alcohol, smoking and abuse of any forms of drugs, fighting, stealing, sneaking,
bullying, intimidation and truancy will be punishable by suspension.
5. RESPECT TO AUTHORITY
Students are expected to obey and respect teachers, parents, support staff, prefects and any
other person in authority at all times. Any act of disobedience or rudeness can lead to two
weeks suspension.
6. PERMISSION
All students must seek permission from the teacher on duty, boarding master, Deputy

Principal or Principal. Permission to attend funerals will be restricted to immediate family

7. SICKNESS
Sick students are allowed to go to the nearest medical facility. Serious cases can be allowed
to go home for further treatment and the cost met by the parents.
8. VISITORS
No students are allowed to talk to visitors without permission or leave class to see a visitor.
Talking to strangers over the fence will earn the concerned student suspension.
9. PLACES OUT OF BOUNDS
Students are not allowed in the following places: staff quarters, kitchen, opposite sex
dormitories and lavatory premises.
10. FOOD
There is no special diet for any student who cannot take what the school offers. Cooked food
from outside is not allowed in school except fruits.
11. MANUAL WORK
All students are expected to do manual work except for those permitted by a medical officer
in which case the Administration should be aware.
12. LANGUAGE POLICY
All students are required to use fluent English and Kiswahili all the time. Use of vernacular in
school is punishable.
13. CARE OF SCHOOL PROPERTY
Any damage to school property( i.e., inclusive things used in classrooms, laboratories,
games fields and boarding section) arising from disobedience, carelessness or misuse must
be paid for.
14. MOBILE PHONES
Students are not allowed to bring mobile phones to school. If found they will be confiscated.
