SERVICE BULLETIN
Equipment: 3630 Micro-Board

Subject: YORK Chiller Access Manager and Date/Time Implications

GENERAL
YORK Chiller Access Manager uses a mobile app and web platform to verify user credentials and generate dynamic
access codes which can be used on the chiller. Codes can be generated for different access levels and different start
dates. Due to this feature, it is critical that the date and time set in the OptiView panel is set accurately.
YORK Chiller Access Manager is a feature on various chiller products:
• YK and YZ: Y.OPT.01.10.308 or later
• YMC2 Mod A: Y.OPT.16.09.314 or later
• YMC2 Mod B: Y.OPT.18.12.313 or later

CURRENT SITUATION
YK and YZ V11, YMC2 Mod A V9, and YMC2 Mod B V12 have a known bug where the date is reset when the
software is loaded onto the machine. Please do not continue to load these old software versions onto chillers,
but always use the latest released version.
Under no circumstances should the date be reset in the panel to use an old access code; this will not
work. Changing the date in the panel can cause issues for the customer to login in a critical situation.
This behavior can be tracked back to an individual user through the YORK Chiller Access Manager
web platform and the OptiView Security and Access Logs.

PROCEDURE TO CORRECT PANEL DATE

If the date and time is accidentally reset, measures should be taken quickly to fix this error to prevent issues logging
into the chiller.
1. If the date is reset to a date on or after January 1, 2020: the web platform https://www.yorkchilleraccessmanager.
com (not the mobile app) can be used to generate an access code with a historical start date that matches the
incorrect date in the OptiView panel. Generate an access code to log into the panel and reset the date to the
correct value.
