SPACES ACT”
Rationale
To comply with the statutory requirement of guaranteeing due process, there shall be a
venue to which an ordinance shall be made known within the jurisdiction to where it shall be
implemented prior to its enactment. Public hearing is one of the modalities duly provided by law in doing
the same.
Conducting public hearing as part of pre enactment proceedings relative to Municipal Ordinance No.
2023-05 does comply with the statutory requirement of guaranteeing due process.

Public Hearing on Municipal Ordinance No. 2023-05 entitled AN ORDINANCE
LOCALIZING THE APPLICABILITY OF REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11313 OR “AN ACT DEFINING
GENDER-BASED SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN STREETS , PUBLIC SPACES, ON-LINE WORK
PLACES, AND EDUCATIONAL OR TRAINING INSTITUTIONS, PROVIDING PROTECTIVE
MEASURES AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES THEREOF” OTHERWISE KNOWN AS “THE SAFE
SPACES ACT” IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF TIAONG, QUEZON

The activity will be held on January 31, 2024, Wednesday, 8:00am – 12:00pm, at
Punzalan Covered Court.
