Course Policies
Academic Honesty:
Each student is expected to do her own work by herself to the best of her ability. Learning is a
personal journey. AESOP cannot tolerate attempts to submit work as your own which you did not do
yourself. Anyone caught plagiarizing will be removed from the class.
One can learn from failure, but cheating takes away your chance to learn!
Attendance:
Regular attendance is necessary for successful learning. Students are expected to attend classes
regularly and be seated in the classroom before classes begin. Instructors will take attendance. Late
arrival or early departures may be counted as an absence. When more than 10% of classes have
been missed for any reason, excused or unexcused, the student will be assessed a grade of “F”
for the course. A student who arrives 10 minutes late, or more, will be marked ABSENT for
that day. Two LATE ARRIVALS (less than 10 minutes after start of class) equals one absence.
● Join/log in to live session at least 5 minutes early before the live session starts.
● Mute your microphone when you are not talking.
● Stay seated and stay present during the entire live sessions. You will be called on and asked
to answer questions and/or participate in activities.
● Adjust your equipment including microphone/headset before class so that it’s ready for you
to talk.
● Do not leave live sessions early or keep logging on and off.
● Stay in a space with less distraction and background noise during live sessions so that you
may focus and learn.
● Use a notebook and pen to take notes instead of using your keyboard during live sessions.
● Do not use technological devices for the purposes of obtaining information during quizzes
and final exam.
● Do not answer texts and calls during live sessions. Stay focused!
● Dress professionally and have clear background if you are turning on your video camera.
