Giraffes are very tall and beautiful land animals that live on the African continent.
They have a long neck, long legs, and heavy hooves. When giraffes are attacked
by lions, they kick off with their hooves so hard that they can break the lions’
back. Giraffes also have a huge dark tongue that allows them to reach and grab
the high leaves or shoots. A giraffe’s tongue can measure up to 20 inches long.
It is also protected by a hard layer that can not be easily poked by thorns.

Grammar: Simple Present
Simple present tense is used to describe an action that is regular, true or
normal. We form it using the base form of the infinitive (without to) and in
the third person we add ¡s! at the end of the verb.

There are four seasons in a year. Spring is a time when the weather warms
up and snow melts. New leaves gro won trees in spring. Summer is a time
when the weather is hot and people go to the beach or to swim in a pool.
Autumn is a time when the weather gets chilly. Leaves change color and
