A GOOD TITLE
informs adequately with the least possible words
avoids Methodology words: “A Comparison of, An Investigation, Notes
on, A classification of, Studies on, The Effects of, An Evaluation of, An
Experiment on, Trial Test on, The Factors Affecting…”
specifies scientific name in botanical papers in italics or within
parentheses just after the common name
lists the main data gathered or to be gathered
categorizes words that can be grouped under one descriptive word:
length of leaf + diameter of cross-section = growth
