Subject- English (Class 9)

This work shall be treated as a project work for your internal Assessment. Prepare the following
in A4 Size sheets. Make your project colourful and attractive. Avoid any printed materials. ALL
THE CONTENT SHOULD BE HANDWRITTEN and painting should be handmade.

I. Read any one of the following novels.

1. Diary of a young girl- Anne Frank

2. Oliver Twist- Charles Dickens

3. Serpent's Revenge- Sudha Murty

4. The girl on the train- Ruskin Bond

5. The English Teacher- R.K Narayan

Now answer the following questions.

a. Summarise the novel.

b. Quote 10 sentences/ dialogues that affected you the most. Or you liked the most.

c. Brief description of the Author.

d. Write a character sketch of the protagonist.


II. Draw the part of your house that you like the most and colour it. Answer the questions that
follow.

1. Why do you like this part of your house?

2. How much time do you spend in this part of your house?

3. Describe one memory / memorable incident related to this part of your house in 100 to 120
words.

III. Draw and label the following charts colourfully.
