VSATPlus II NodeView Terminal
Installation terminal program enables you to use a computer to do the following in
VSATPlusll network
The NodeView Terminal enables you to use a Windows ® 95 computer to do the same
jobs.

§ Set up and configure VSATPlus II terminals in a satellite network

§ Store configuration information in the VSATPlus II terminal’s nonvolatile memory so the

information can be restored after a power failure or reset

§ Download configuration parameters to files that can be distributed on diskette to

configure other nodes in the network

§ Monitor the operation of the node to which it is currently attached (called the local node)

§ View a log of alarms, status changes, and other selected events that occur at the
node(only possible with node view program)

§ Monitor certain network operations

§ Change local node parameters

Communicate with VSATPlus II terminals using remote dial-up (option)

Using the VSATPlus II Pane

Use the following procedures to make menu selections and move through the
system. The mouse is not used inside the VSATPlus II pane of the window.

To select a menu item:

a. Press the UP or DOWN ARROW to move to the item.
A marker points to the currently selected line in the menu, and the item is
highlighted.
b. Press ENTER.

To move through a series of related screens, press ENTER.

If there is too much information to display on a single screen:

a. Press ENTER to display additional screens of information.
b. Press ENTER until the first screen in the series reappears.

To return to the previous level menu press ESC or select the EXIT TO MAIN
MENU option.
