SKILL EXPLORATION 1
SKILL EXPLORATION 2
~ The third generation of web technology is known as Web 3.0 (Web3). Web 3.0 is the next
evolution of the Internet, characterized by the use of advanced technologies such as blockchain,
artificial intelligence, and semantic web to create a more intelligent, connected, and personalized
web experience. The World Wide Web, commonly referred to as the web, serves as the basic
building block of the internet by offering website and application services. There isn't a single,
recognized definition of Web 3.0 since it is continually changing and being defined. However, it is
certain that Web 3.0 will heavily emphasize decentralized apps and utilize blockchain-based
technology. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning will both be used in Web 3.0 to
provide smarter, more adaptable apps. The term "Web 3.0" was first coined in the mid-2000s by
John Markoff, a senior writer at The New York Times, in an article he wrote about the future of
the internet. However, the development of Web 3.0 is the result of the work of many individuals
and groups from different fields such as computer science, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and
semantic web over the past several decades. The development of Web 3.0 is driven by the
increasing need for more sophisticated technologies that can handle the vast amount of data and
information being generated and shared on the Internet. The World Wide Web is extended by the
Semantic Web through standards established by the World Wide Web Consortium, sometimes
referred to as Web 3.0 (not to be confused with Web3) (W3C). Making data on the Internet
machine readable is the aim of the Semantic Web. The idea of a semantic web is another element
that is included in the evolving definition of Web 3.0. Web inventor Tim Berners-Lee is one of
many who has pushed for semantic technology to be incorporated into the web. The move from
the first web, Web 1.0, to Web 2.0 took more than ten years, and it is anticipated that Web 3.0's
complete implementation and reshaping of the web will take just as long, if not longer.
Web 3.0 is the outcome of changes in how people use and interact with the Internet. A database
has emerged on the Internet. The internal optimization of the sites, to which a great deal of care
was given, is what distinguishes this level. The majority of advancements that affected how
websites functioned and the Internet as a whole were made at this point in its evolution. The fact
that data is shared by users rather than belonging to certain businesses or individuals defines Web
3.0. The Semantic Web is another name for this phase of Internet development. The way
information is analyzed and websites are ranked has changed as a result of the Semantic Web. At
present time, robots are being used to manage websites on the Internet. Web 3.0 requires
programmers to design specialized ontologies using declarative ontological programming
languages (OWLs) so that robots may infer information from website content rather than just
matching keywords.
~ The phrase "Internet 4.0," often referred to as "Web 4.0," is used to refer to a future stage of the
Web where users may interact more easily. The rising usage of social media and mobile devices
among this generation is characterized by the possibility of more engaging and customized user
experiences. Nowadays, websites are created with users in mind, enabling increased cooperation
and involvement. Additionally, the volume of information that is now accessible online has
multiplied, making it simpler for people to locate material that is pertinent to them. Businesses
who adopt the fourth generation of the Internet early will be better positioned to benefit from this
emerging trend. The fourth generation of the Internet offers a more connected and informed world.
Although Web 4.0, the fourth generation of the Internet, is still in its early phases of development,
certain important concepts have started to take shape. The emphasis on teamwork and
collaborative intelligence that Web 4.0 places on these topics is among its most significant
features. Users are increasingly collaborating to generate content and find solutions, signaling the
end of the era of lone users working independently. In order to increase sales, businesses are
increasingly depending on social media and user-generated content, which is another application
of this collaborative strategy to business models. The "Internet of things," which is another key
idea in Web 4.0, refers to the rapid growth in the number of online gadgets; it is predicted that by
2020, there will be 50 billion online devices.
The outcome of the quick advancement of Internet technology is Web 4.0. Web 4.0 focuses on
user mobility and voice interactions with robots today. Previously, using the Internet required the
user to be seated at a desktop computer, but mobile devices now enable users to access and share
information from anywhere. With Web 4.0, humans and robots have a new, symbiotic connection.
Robots are always available to humans, and our daily lives are increasingly dependent on
machines. Self-learning systems that use artificial intelligence study individuals to better
understand their needs. For instance, all Alice needs is a query, and she will respond with a
response. The use of virtual and augmented reality is growing. On the Internet, there are an
increasing number of websites that provide different services utilizing augmented and virtual
reality. Sales volumes of specialized virtual reality equipment are progressively rising as they
become more practical and well-liked. Everything around us is changing as a result of Web 4.0,
including the economy, logistics, and even medical. The customer currently has complete control
over the Internet and has access to all of his activities and data. People's daily lives are being
dramatically altered by Web 4.0. Web 4.0 expands the potential of any Internet-related sphere of
activity by enabling a connection between man and machine.
