Teen Shopping Habits in Vietnam
We interviewed three teens about their shopping habits. Read on to find the best tips.
Thanh, 16: “I like to shop at thrift stores. It's more fun and, of course, less expensive than
buying clothes in the shopping mall. And your clothes will be unique. Also, we already have so
much
trash on our planet, so I don't think we need to buy new clothes. My top tip is to pay attention to
the brands. Some brands use quality materials, and if you see them at a thrift store, get them
quickly before someone else does.”
Van, 15: “I buy most of my clothes from a local store near my house. I can walk there in just a
few minutes. It's much easier and less crowded than at shopping malls, and the customer service
is better. The sales assistants are friendlier and always give me good advice on what to buy.”
Ngoc, 15: “I prefer to do my shopping at shopping malls. It's easier because my parents don't
have to take me to different stores. My advice is to be careful with money. Decide how much you
can spend, and don't spend more than that. Never buy things you don't need just because they're
on sale. My least favorite clothes are always things I bought just because they were cheap.”
