FAS200
1. FAS-200
A. FAS-200 introduction:
FAS200 is a flexible and compact assembly system that includes industrial automation
technology. The FAS200 consists of up to 18 independent stations with integrated control. This
modular device features multiple stations in the same space. This means more users can work
at the same time. In addition, it allows for staggered investment. NS. Start with an initial base
configuration that can be easily extended to include additional workplaces. The FAS200
provides industry-specific professional training with standardized industrial components.
Various process stations assemble the rotation mechanism. To increase the flexibility of the
system, the station adapts to a large number of assemblies and introduces variations in
materials, colors, and part sizes. Combining all these options allows you to produce a total of 24
different assemblies, enabling you to use your production control strategies. Each station in the
FAS200 system runs part of the process
This station feeds the base for the rotation mechanism and verifies that its orientation /
position is correct.
The second station positions the correctly placed bases on the pallet and rejects those which
are incorrect.
This station supplies the bearing and moves it to the measuring position. Bearings can be
inserted with two different heights.
This station emulates the pressing of the bearing against the base.
The FAS-206 station feeds work-piece to the press and picks it up / drops it onto the pallet.
This station feeds the assembly shafts and verifies their material and position. Two types of
shafts exist with different materials
The eighth station rejects the with incorrect material or faulty positioning and inserts the
correct ones into the work-piece
This station feeds and inspects that are to be added to the work-piece. There are 6 different
types of lids with varying material, color and height.
The tenth station rejects incorrect lids or inserts them onto the pallet if they are of the required
type for the work-piece.
The FAS-212 station inserts the four screws into the base.
This station integrates robotics technology. The robot screws in the four screws inserted in the
product by the previous station.
This station performs the quality control for work-piece using an artificial vision system.
• FAS-215: Rejection station after visual inspection
The product is removed from the production line and stored using electric actuators.
This station transfers the pallet from one transfer line to another in a parallel transfer
configuration.
The FAS-230 station transports the pallet between the stations. Each transfer connects 4
stations.
Common elements in all stations: Power supply, anodised aluminum structure, control keypad,
solenoid valve block, labels for cables, electric connection terminals, speed controllers, air
treatment unit, control PLC* and manual user manual and practice manual.
Because linear transfer FAS230 moves the pallets between the modules of the system FAS200,
any module FAS220 is required to transfer the pallets if the layout is opened in line (fig 3):
This module's manipulator is made up of two U-shaped cartesian axes. The vertical axis is based
on a twin rod pneumatic cylinder, whereas the horizontal axis is based on a rod less pneumatic
cylinder. The vacuum system is responsible for the final handling.
This customized edition of the FAS-200 is available in two configurations, with either pneumatic
or collaborative robotic technology as the center cap transfer station.
option 1:
Pneumatic configuration
option 2: cobot
configuration
The following are the two system configuration modules that were used:
The FAS-200 is comprised of 3 stations and a linear transfer, each of which carries out a part of the process:
This station feeds and inspects the caps that will be attached to the finished product. There are six different
sorts of hats, each with its own material, color, and height.
• FAS-210 SE I4.0: Special Edition Industry 4.0 Cap rejection / transfer station:
Depending on whether the caps are the desired type of cap for the present product, the central station
rejects or puts them into the assembly. There are two versions: one in which the caps are transferred electro-
pneumatically (pneumatic configuration) and the other in which the caps are transferred by a collaborative
robot (cobot configuration).
• FAS-216 SE I4.0: Special edition Industry 4.0 storage and shipment station:
This station is in charge of storing or shipping the finished product according to the specifications. The HMI
screen, which incorporates the system administration application, is also included.
In the pneumatic version of the FAS-200 SE I4.0 system, the troubleshooting simulation system TROUB-200 is
included, allowing the user to diagnose up to 16 malfunctions.
This equipment's components are all industrial, assuring quality, durability, and reliability.
