OR GATE

Experiment No. 2
I.OBJECTIVE:

• To be able t o see the behavior of the gate based on comparison of outputs.

• To be able to verify the characteristic of OR gate based on the data gathered.

II. MATERIALS

• Breadboard
• Connecting wires : solid wire awg # 22
• LED : 6 pcs
• Supply : 6V
• Alligator clip
• 7432 TTL IC

7432 PIN CONFIGURATION

III. PROCEDURE:

1. Interconnect the OR gate as shown below.

2. Switch on the power supply. Record the data inputs and outputs on table 1.
NOTE:
LED ON- stands for high logic “ 1 ”
LED OFF- stands for low logic “ 0 ”

3. Fill up the table below to verify the OR gate truth table using inputs S1 and S2.Monitor the DATA STATUS
of LED1, LED2, LED4 and LED 5.

4. Notice that the inputs Or gate are tied together. What can you say about the behavior of this gate based
on comparison of LED 4 and LED 5?
