Project Title: "Hotel Management system"

→Area of Implementation/ Applications:


The Hotel Management System has a
wide range of applications and can be implemented in various areas within the
hospitality industry. Mainly, it is used in hotels or restaurants to facilitate the
customers and provide good ambiance. Some of the key areas include:
1- Hotels and Resorts
2- Hostels and Guesthouses.
3- Vacation Rentals.
→ What will be the part of System:
The Hotel Management System comprises
several interconnected parts or modules, each serving a specific function within the
system. Here are the key parts of the system:
1- User Interface:
The front-end component of the system that provides interfaces
for different types of users such as guests, hotel staff, and administrators . Interfaces
for hotel staff to manage room allocations, reservations, housekeeping tasks, and
billing.
2- Database Management system:
Manages the storage and retrieval of data
related to guests, reservations, room inventory, billing, and other operational
aspects. It stores information securely and ensures data integrity and consistency .
3- Reservation Management Module:
Facilitates the handling of guest
reservations, modifications, and cancellations. Manages room availability, rates,
and restrictions based on occupancy and demand.
4- Room Management Module:
Tracks room inventory including availability,
occupancy status, and maintenance schedules. Assigns rooms to guests based on
preferences, booking details, and operational constraints.

→List of Features:
The Hotel Management System encompasses a wide range
of features to address the needs of guests, hotel staff, and management. Here are
some key features typically included in such a system:
1- Reservation Management system:
Guests can browse room availability,
select preferences, and make reservations through a user-friendly interface. System
maintains a centralized database of reservations, enabling staff to manage
bookings, modifications, and cancellations.
2- Room Management system:
Tracks room availability, occupancy status,
and maintenance schedules to optimize room utilization. Automatically assigns
rooms to guests based on preferences, booking details, and operational constraints .
3- Addition of new Employees:
We can simply add new employee for the
sake of working in a hotel. Employee can be of any type for example any kind of
dish washer, waiter or room cleaner staff.
4- Addition of Drivers:
We have to add drivers to provide the facility of pick-
up customers. Hotel is for resting and provide the facility to stay so it also have to
provide the drivers which is responsible to provide the facility to pick a customers.
5- Billing and payment:
Generates itemized invoices for room charges,
additional services, taxes, and other billable items during the stay.
6- Communication and Notifications:
Sends confirmation emails, booking reminders, and
post-stay surveys to guests to enhance communication and gather feedback .
