You can insert text with special effects in slide. Wordart gallery allows you to add text in different styles,
colour, shapes
TO CREATE WORDART OBJECT
1. Click on Wordart button in Drawing toolbar to open WordArt gallery
2. Select Wordart style of your choice and click OK button
3. A dialog box will appear where you can type your text. You can change Font, Font style, Font size also
in this dialog box
4. Now click OK button in it to get the artistic text on your slide
DRAWING SHAPES
It has various tool butons that allow you to draw different types of shapes like lines, square or circle
TO CREATE DRAWING SHAPES
1. Click required tool on drawing toolbar for shape that you want to draw
2. Bring mouse pointer on slide when you want to draw
3. Hold left button and drag diagonally to draw the shape
4. Release mouse button when desired shape is created
AUTO SHAPES
Except standard shapes like, circle, rectangle, square. You can also draw some pre-designed on
Powerpoint slides Callouts, Starts, Banners and Action Buttonn. From Autoshapes present on drawing
toolbar
TO DRAW AUTO SHAPES
1. Click autoshapes button on drawing toolbar to get list of various Autoshapes categories
2. Select categories of your choice and from different shapes of that categories click one that you want to
draw
3. Bring mouse pointer on slide and drag dialogonally to draw the shapes
4. Release mouse when desired shapes is create
CHANGING LINE AND FILL COLOUR OF SHAPE
1. Select shape object on slide
2. Select "Autoshapes'' option in "Format menu''. A format autoshapes dialog box is displayed
3. Click colour and lines tab in it
4. Select colour or fill effect from the fill section that you want to fill
5. Select line colour, line style and weight of line in line section
6. Click OK button
7. Your shape is formatted with selected settings
ANIMATION
It are sounds or visual effects involving movement that are added to pictures in slide. This helps in
making presentation very effective
ANIMATING TEXT & OBJECT (CUSTOM ANIMATION)
PowerPoint provided the facility at animate text, pictures, charts, movies, graphics, sounds in your slide.
You can enhence presentation by highlighting important points
TO TEXT AND ANY OBJECT
1. Open slide that has text or objects which you want to animate in normal view
2. Click on Slide Show menu
3. Select the Custom Animtion option. The Custom Animation dialog box will be displayed
4. Click on Effects tab
5. In check to animate slide bjects box, select check box which you want to animate
6. Under entry animation and sound list box, select the option which you want
7. Click on Order & Timming tab
8. In animation order box, select the object which you want to change and then click on one of arrows to
move the object up or down in list
9. Set animation timing Start animation box by clicking 'On mouse click' or automatically option
10. To preview animations, click on preview button
11. Click on Ok button
ADDING SOUND TO ANIMATION
1. Click on Slide show menu and select Custom Animation option. Custom Animation dialog box appears
2. Click on Effects tab
3. In check to animate slide objects bos, select check bbox which you want to add sound
4. Under Entry animation and sound list box, select the sound which you want
5. Click on OK button
PRESENT ANIMATION
It has different present animation settings. It is used to quickly add motion to any selected object
1. Open slide in normal view and select the object or text which you want to animate
2. Click on Slide Show menu
3. Select present animation
4. Click on animation setting which you want from submenu
SLIDE TRANSITION
It is effect used during slide show
1. Select the slide in which you want to apply transition effect
2. Click on slide show menu
3. Select slide transition option. The slide transition dialog box will be displayed
4. Select transition effect according to your choice in effect frame
5. If you want to create self-running presentation, click on 'Automatically after' check box in advance
frame
6. Enter number of seconds for which slide has to displayed
7. Click on apply button to apply transition to selected slide. If you want to apply the transition effect to
more than one slide, then click on apply to all button
SLIDE SHOW
After applying the animation you need to view presentation
1. Click on Slide show menu
2. Press the F5 keys
