unlike the thread seal which relies on solids in the
thread compound to provide the sealing mechanism.

Plastic Coatable
•Ideal for plastic coated applications.
•Teflon seal ring is inert to corrosive environments.

Versatile
•Modified Couplings are available for API EUE,
NUE, STC, LTC, Buttress, and Line pipe as well as
U.S. Steel Buttress, Pittsburgh Acme Buttress,
National Tube Buttress and other tubing and
casing connections.
•Standard and special clearance ODs.
•Square cut or beveled on one or both ends.
•Modified Coupling designs are available for pipe
up through 20” diameter.

Availability
•Popular sizes available from stock for overnight
delivery.
•Modified Couplings can be purchased outright,
customer’s couplings can be modified, or cus-
tomer’s couplings can be exchanged for Modified
Coupling from stock.

Interchangeability
•Not interchangeable with all API seal ring
couplings.
