ORDER:
The daily wages per day payable to various categories of employment for
the financial year 2022-2023 had been fixed vide reference 1st read above.
2. In this regard several representations were received from Uzhaipor
Urimai Iyakkam, Left Trade Union Centre, Anna University temporary Staff and
others, requesting that the Daily wages is very low in respect of Chennai
District and also that it is even lower than the adjacent district and within
Chennai Region (in overall North Zone). Chennai District being metropolitan
city the cost price is on higher side due to various factors, like house rent.
