Part 3
In Part 3, teachers should credit answers that are phonetically correct, except in questions where a
name or word is spelled out by the speaker. For example, if the answer to a question is ‘green’, credit
may be given for ‘grean’ or ‘grene’, but not for ‘gren’. This task is assessing learners’ listening skills,
not their spelling skills.
