and then developing an idea.

Wednesday lesson 6 Problem solving skills


Proposal
Following the guidance on Vibe, this should cover the Rationale, Aiming high
Project Concept and Evaluation sections. This is to be written
directly onto students Weebly pages.

Wednesday lesson 7
Production Schedule
A proposed schedule for the project must be created by each
student. This will help them understand the time frame for their
work, aid meeting the deadline and help when organising cast and
crew for the filming periods.

Wednesday lesson 8
Bibliography
A bibliography page to be added so it is easier to update throughout
the project. An outline of what they intend of researching should be
included at the top of the page to give them initial direction.

Friday lessons 9 - 12
Competition or Client
All students must find either a competition that they could enter
their work into or research into a client if they are producing the
piece for someone.

Issues
Problem solving document to be downloaded and completed.
Reflecting on previous issues faced and how they can be avoided
this time round. What other issues could present themselves during
the written and practical work?

Brief
Collate information above into a branded brief. Includes:
 Deadline
 Detailed idea
 Initial target audience
 Production schedule
 Competition / client
 Ethical considerations

Friday lesson 13
Weekly blog written at the end of the week on how their idea has
developed from word to concept.

Codes and Conventions research

Video analysis should look at the technical and narrative aspects of


productions. The examples looked at should reflect the aesthetic of
how they visualise their own must include screenshots..
Secondary research (internet and books) into expectations of the
genre. What codes and conventions will they meet to define their
productions genre.

Findings from both analysis and secondary research will formulate


the test shoots.

Monday 29th students should have Test Shoots

What platform should it be shown on? Are there any age ratings
guidance? How will you ensure its success?
