COMMUNITY

 It is where the people work, play and live.


 It is a group of people who occupy a common contiguous territory,
possessed of a common sets of traditions associated with their living
together in that territory, and served by a set of local institutions in which
the people are conscious of their common interest.

FORMAL AND INFORMAL COMMUNITIES


FORMAL AND INFORMAL COMMUNITY

 Formal community is a group of people engage in joint activities and


discussion, help each other, and share information with each other, they
care about their professional standing with each other.
 While Informal community is a group of people consists of a set of
personal relations, social networks, common interest and emotional
sources of information.
RURAL-URBAN COMMUNITIES

RURAL VS. URBAN COMMUNITY

 Rural communities are low in population density and usually produce


their own food for subsistence. Example of this, are the communities
which are found in the Province.
 While Urban communities are large in terms of land area and population,
advanced in science and technology, with favorable physical environment
and diverse cultures, and the people are engaged in various occupations.
Usually urban communities are found in the cities.
LOCAL AND GLOBAL COMMUNITIES

LOCAL VS. GLOBAL COMMUNITY

 Local communities is a term often used to denote a geographical


bounded community such as public parks, clubs, gymnasium, town
squares, or any public area where people meet and interact with one
another or even an entire country depending on the point of reference.
 While global communities it is the international aggregate of nation-
states. Known as “World Community”.
