a) What are the schemes coming under Backward The following schemes are coming under D.Devaraj Urs Backward
Classes Welfare Department; Classes Development Corporation.
1. Self Employment Loan Schemes.
2. Traditional Artisans Loan Scheme.
3. Education Loan Scheme.
4. Interest Free Loan for Higher Education in Foreign University.
5. Gangakalyana Irrigation Scheme.
6. Micro Credit Loan Scheme.
b) What are parameters for implementing the schemes; The parameters for implementing schemes are as follows.
(furnish full details.)  Applicants belonging to backward classes category 1, 2A, 3A
and 3B classified vide Govt. order No. SWD 228 BCA 2000,
dated: 30/03/2002 (excluding Vishwakarma Communities).
 Applicant and his family annual income below Rs.40000/- in
rural area and Rs. 55000/- in urban area under State Govt.
funded schemes and Rs.8.00lakh annual income for Interest
Free loan for the Higher Studies in Foreign Universities and
Rs.3.50lakh limit under Arivu-Educational Loan Scheme.
 Applicants should belong to BPL families under Micro Credit
Loan Scheme and applicant is not working in any of the Govt.
or Govt. undertaking and should be members of self help
groups.

 Age limit of the applicants should be 18 to 55 years.
 Under Ganga Kalyan Irrigation Scheme the applicant should
belongs to Small and Marginal farmer and not having any
irrigation facility.
 Under Financial assistance to Traditional Artisans and
Occupational group loan Schemes, the applicants should
engage in the identified trades.
 Applicants and his family members are not to avail benefit
more than one time.
c) The amount of grant released during for last 3 Grants released for last 3 years is Rs.87401.00lakhs. Details of
years; (furnish grants, scheme wise full details) scheme wise grant released are enclosed in Anexxure-1

d) Grants provided to Shivamoga district under Grants provided to above said schemes to Shivamoga District for
different schemes? (furnish full details of a last 3 years and Scheme wise full details of beneficiaries are
beneficiaries) enclosed in Anexxure-2.
