Engineering Assistant
Electronic Maintenance Department (2011)
 Provide Technical Support for the Access Control, CCTV, I.D. Room and
Information Technology Systems in Nassau and the Family Islands
 Provide Inter-Island Assistance to the Family Islands for I.D. Badging Protocols and
Reporting, as needed by the Government of The Bahamas
 Responsible for gathering, organizing and tracking the entire Access Control Systems
Software and Hardware Inventory
 Install and Uninstall Replacement Parts on the Access Control Units (Back-Up Batteries,
Advantech Boards, Expansion Boards and other ACU Unit Components)
 Install and Uninstall Switches, UPS and Printers
 Repaired and Adjusted Access Control Units (ACUs) as often as needed to ensure the doors are
working properly
 Perform routine chores, such as checking to see that the equipment and software is
working properly with a checklist
 Create and Manage Maintenance Check List
 Create and Manage Written and Oral Communication between Airport Authority (AA),
Nassau Airport Development (NAD), and any other entity as it relates to the Access Control
System
 Prepare Software and Hardware (RMA) Ticket Information for repair by factory
 Record Complaints, Assign Technicians, and follow through to completion
 Coordinate and Conduct Battery Checks for all Terminals (A, B & C)
 Trained the I.D. Room Staff how to Create, Link and Set I.D. Badge Templates using the
VDI System (I.D. Room 2nd Training - October 2013)
 Liaison for the Airport Authority with VDI (November 2012)
 VDI Factory Training – Ontario, Canada (2012)
 Trained the I.D. Room Staff how to use the VDI System and Printer for the Badging Area (July
2011); during this time the I.D. Room Training Manual and exam was created and issued to
each staff member
 Data Entry was completed for new and existing personnel in the VDI System along with
purging terminated personnel, as necessary
 Assisted with the VDI Access Control System in the I.D. Room by creating additional
templates and Access Levels
