Q1. What is the working principle of the Vane pump?
A vane pump is a positive displacement pump that uses a set of vanes installed on
a rotor to transfer the fluid. It has the ability to deliver a constant flow rate under
different pressure conditions. It is known as a “vane pump” because it pressurizes
the fluid due to the impact of the vanes.

Q2. What is the working principle of Gear pump?
A gear pump is a type of pump that uses a series of rotating gears to pump the
fluid. The gear pump usually has two gears. One gear knows as the idler gear or
the driven gear and the second gear knows as the power or the driver gear.

Q3. What is the working principle of Screw pump?
The working principle of the screw pump varies completely to that gear pump,
here the driver screws and the driver revolves in line by the utilization of timing
gear. Both the screws that are functioning through a fine clearance pull in air
trapping internal to the fine clearance of interlocking screw strings.

Q4. What is the working principle of Centrifugal pump?
Centrifugal Pump is the common type of pump for transferring fluids. Simply put,
it uses a rotating impeller to move other fluids applying centrifugal force. This is
the accepted choice, especially for moving the fluid from one location to another
in many industrial applications, including municipal (water and wastewater
plants), agriculture, power generation plants, mining, petroleum and chemical
industries, and other purposes.

Q5. What is the working principle of Reciprocating pump?
The reciprocating pump works on the positive displacement principle. A
reciprocating piston pump contains a piston or plunger that moves back and forth
in the pump chamber.
