MY SECOND HOME
IN THE NEW NORMAL SETTING
This section describes my second home in the New Normal Setting, my cooperating
school/ unit or campus I am affiliated with. Getting to know well my second home in terms
of facilities, teaching and learning platforms and its learning resources will help me spend
my entire practice teaching more comfortable and sense of belongingness. It is therefore
important for me to visit these resources and facilities in order to maximize my use of them
all.
My Aims/Purposes
At the end of this activity, I will be able to:
a. Know by heart the campus/school’s vision and mission. (Laboratory school if
there’s any/ the campus you are enrolled in lieu of Laboratory School)
b. Get to know the different campus facilities as well as their importance
c. Get acquainted with different campus personnel and their respective
functions/responsibilities.

b. Awareness and Understanding the Vision and Mission of your School
What school facilities have I visited In what ways are these facilities helpful
and utilized? in teaching-learning process?
1. Reading Center The reading center is beneficial because it
offers a calm, cozy area where kids may lose
themselves in books, developing a passion
for reading and advancing their literacy. It
promotes autonomous inquiry and self-
directed learning by providing a wide variety
of reading materials to suit various interests
and reading levels.
2. Printing Area The printing section is useful because it
makes it easier to prepare and distribute
worksheets, teaching materials, and visual
aids, which enables teachers to add visually
stimulating content to their lessons. It
guarantees effectiveness in class
preparation and execution, allowing teachers
to adapt resources to the various
requirements of their pupils.
3. Faculty Room Teachers can exchange ideas, talk about
instructional techniques, and work together
to design classes in the faculty room. By
fostering a sense of camaraderie, it makes it
possible for educators to encourage one
another, share best practices, and
collaborate to ensure the success of
students.
4. Classroom The main location for teaching and learning
is the classroom, which provides a helpful
setting for interactive instruction, group
discussions, and practical exercises. It has
all the necessary teaching aids, including
whiteboards, projectors, and instructional
materials, to let students communicate and

participate effectively and create a dynamic,
immersive learning environment.
5. Library The library is a veritable gold mine of
information, offering access to a vast array of
books, reference materials, and digital
resources. It acts as a center for independent
study, inquiry-based learning, and research,
giving students the freedom to delve deeper
into subjects, acquire new subjects, and
hone their critical thinking abilities.

What are my reflections? (Learning/insights/connections)
What is my impression about my second home in post pandemic setting?
My time working as a teaching intern at Bayambang Central School was like to
entering a cozy, familiar hug. I was immediately surrounded by the lively energy of the
students and the committed faculty as soon as I entered the building. In addition to being
a place of learning, Bayambang Central School is a community and a second home where
every encounter is a chance for personal development. The faculty room hums with
cooperation, the classrooms throb with interest, and the corridors resound with laughter.
As an intern, my experience has been nothing short of revolutionary. I've had the
honor of seeing kids' and instructors' tenacity and passion firsthand. Every experience,
from lesson planning to classroom management, has taught me the value of patience,
flexibility, and the pure joy of sharing information. I will never be the same after attending
Bayambang Central School. It shaped not just my philosophy of teaching but also my
awareness of the significant influence education can have on developing brains. It is more
than simply a school; it is a haven for learning, a ray of hope, and evidence of the strength
of community.
I am really thankful for the experiences, friendships made, and lessons learnt as I
think back on my trip here. I will always have a particular place in my heart for Bayambang
Central School since it was there that I learned the true meaning of passion, devotion, and
the transformational power of education.
