Partner program – Training requirements
As part of the criteria to qualify for the various tiers within the Veeam ProPartner program, there are specific training requirements that need to be met. Please see the ProPartner Program
page on the ProPartner Portal for all the details. Where there is a requirement for VMSP / VMTSP, any of the learning streams can be completed to satisfy the requirement, specific badges
are used below as an example. For ProPartner Program Compliance the training is valid for 2 years from completion of VMSP / VMTSP Fundamentals. It is highly recommended to retake the
course every year or when the course content is updated.

What’s new with the 2024 VMSP/VMTSP?

The VMSP and VMTSP has kept the learning stream format. The learning streams are solution-centric and not product-centric. In order to complete the training and
receive a badge, you will need to complete the VMSP 2024 Fundamental component and pass the test, and then complete one of the learning streams and pass the test.
The new training also includes content on the new Veeam Backup & Replication™ v12.1. VMSP/VMTSP 2024 remains a requirement of the Veeam ProPartner and
Competency programs. This training remains free of charge to all registered Veeam Partners.

How long is my VMSP/VMTSP valid towards my company’s Veeam ProPartner Program tier requirement?

There is a requirement as part of the Veeam ProPartner program for partners to have a certain number of trained VMSP/VMTSP employees within their organization.
When you complete VMSP/VMTSP Fundamentals and one learning stream your training will then count towards your company’s compliance. This compliance is valid for
2 years from the date of completion of the Fundamentals component. Fundamentals and a learning stream needs to be completed again within the 2 year period to
renew the validity of your training towards Veeam ProPartner Program compliance. We recommend that you renew your Fundamentals and learning stream training
every year or when the training is updated with new content.

If I am 2023 certified, how do I upgrade to the 2024 version(s)?

The course structure remains the same, however 3 of the learning streams have had a name change, whilst all courses have had their content updated. Here are the

What is the value in upgrading to the 2024 version if I already have 2023 certification?

Certifications are valid for a two-year period. However, there is tremendous value in learning about the most current Veeam products, solutions, use cases and
messaging in order to maximize opportunities with your customers. There is also content on the new Veeam Backup & Replication V12.1 included in the new training, as
well as much more in terms of product updates and enhancements.

Do I need to complete the VMSP Fundamentals every time I want to achieve a VMSP badge?

Once you have completed the Fundamentals module within either VMSP or VMTSP you will not be required to complete it again for each badge that you complete, as
long as it is within the learning stream. For example, if you complete the VMSP Fundamentals module and then complete the VMSP Cybersecurity & DR module and
acquire the badge, you can move on to complete the VMSP SaaS module, or any of the other VMSP badged modules without having to complete the VMSP
Fundamentals module again. This does change when the Fundamentals module is updated, you will be required to complete Fundamentals before moving on to a
learning stream every time it is updated.

Yes, to transfer your certification, please contact your Veeam Channel Manager. No additional actions are required.
