Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning a foreign language at
primary schools rather than secondary school. Do the advantages of this outweigh the
disadvantages?

It is believed by some professionals that learning a foreign language at primary school is better
compared to secondary school. This trend has both merits and demerits. I believe that despite
having few drawbacks, it has been beneficial in numerous ways for students.

On the one hand, there are two major advantages of this notion. First and foremost, at a young
age, children have a high grasping power due to which they can learn new things in a lesser time.
For instance, a four-year-old boy may learn to operate mobile faster compare to a fifty-year-old
lady because of the functionality of the brain. So, if children learn a new language during their
primary school days, then they will take less time to learn compared to higher schooling time.
Secondly, mastering a foreign language can be beneficial to many students if they plan to settle
abroad for job opportunities, because they will be given privilege compare to people who are not
aware of the local language. Thus, knowledge of a foreign language can be advantageous in
many ways.

On the other hand, this development has few shortcomings. The primary disadvantage of this
approach is that learning a new language may not be useful for those who do not wish to move to
other countries. For example, if a child is learning French during his school days and later if he
chooses to become an IT professional in his own country, then French would not be of any
benefit to him in his career. Another drawback is that children do not possess the required
decision-making skill during their early school days as compared to secondary school where they
can understand their field of interest. So, if they do not choose a career in the language field
later, then it is a waste of time for them during primary school. Hence, learning a non-regional
language in primary school might be of less benefit.

To conclude, although there are vivid drawbacks of this given statement, its merits have clear
victory over them because the benefits such as the addition of knowledge and future
opportunities in a different country cannot be overlooked. Therefore, I believe that the
advantages of this phenomenon outweigh its disadvantages.

Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high
school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighborhood or
teaching sports to younger children).
To what extent do you agree or disagree?

A part of society opines that doing some activities like working for a charity or teaching pupils
which are out of educational programs in schools should be held, although they are mentioned as
unpaid services. Overall, I agree with them, however, I think it cannot be accomplished unless
those don't conflict with the main purpose of schooling. In this essay, some of the most important
reasons will be mentioned.

The first reason is that the authorities should not only get attention to theoretical lessons like
math and biology. Because it's apparent that students have to learn some practical activities to
gain experiences and use them for what they need. For instance, they need to earn skills for
making communication in different places. Besides, it's our duty to give pupils the motivation to
teamwork and make them feel a sense of being useful members of society. In other words, it
enables them to think about some works without expecting rewards.

Meanwhile, there is an undeniable fact that the obligation of children to do lots of services leads
to discouraging them. Therefore, if we want them to pursue these activities, they should be
entitled to do the ones they are passionate about them. That means teachers ought to give them a
chance to do their preferences. Lastly, it definitely is not useful for all students in some cases.
For example, sometimes they should provide for exams which causes a lot of stress for them.

In conclusion, although these kinds of programs have many benefits and give numerous
opportunities to students, I firmly recommend that these should not be a force and it's better to
allow them to choose between those tasks.

Some people say that the best way to improve public health is by increasing the number of
sports facilities. Others, however, say that this would have little effect on public health and
that other measures are required.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

As everyone knows, these days, people usually get sick easily because of various factors, and
some believe that the most effective way of decreasing this problem is to increase the sports area.
However, I believe that there are many methods that may have more impact than doing that
which are providing free insurance and educating people more about a healthy lifestyle.

First and foremost, it could not be inevitable that increasing the sports facilities will not improve
the health of people. However, in reality, we cannot enforce people to go to the gym regularly.
Indeed, I did not mean that this will not work because constructing more sports center could
encourage some people to exercise more often. Nevertheless, in my perspective, I would argue
that if the government has taken part in, the problem would likely to be simpler.

On the other hand, to support people by providing them with the insurance fee could be an
effective method in order to make people become healthier. For example, although the lower-
income-labor cannot afford the treating fee, they could have the opportunity to cure because they
no need to pay for it. Moreover, educating people to have a healthy lifestyle is another means
that could work out this problem. For instance, posting the activities or the diet that good for
health. In addition, if people could follow this suggestion, some health problems could be
disposed such as obesity, depression, and high-blood-pressure.

To sum up, nowadays, people's well-being could be degraded by our habits; however, building
more sports facilities could not impact much in our society so, the government needs to involve
and worked out by giving people the insurance fee, and making people concern more about their
health.

Every year several languages die out. Some people think that this is not important because
life will be easier if there are fewer languages in the world.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this option?

There is no doubt that some students discontinue their education after a few years of schooling.
This is primarily due to they were not motivated to study previously; however, by implementing
some new techniques in educational fields, this issue can be limited.

On the one hand, one of the main reasons for a pessimistic attitude towards education is teaching
methods. This is because many teachers follow a traditional style that are incapable of
stimulating interest in the minds of pupils: monologue, no audio-visual aids, strict classroom
discipline, for example. Eventually, they are demotivated and hated learning process as whole,
this trend can have a huge repercussion to the future generation.

On the other hand, despite the above-mentioned reason, this scenario can be abolished for a great
extend if we follow a new innovative technique. Firstly, classrooms should be lively by
incorporating different kinds of teaching modules, for instance; overhead projectors, computer
graphics, and videos, and ensure it is an interactive section where teachers behave just as a
facilitator. Another point here to consider is that weaker learners should be given special
coachings to bring out their full potentials. These are steps, which is scientifically proven, that
can adopt to inculcate interest in pupil’s mind.

In conclusion, it is common to see that ex-students have an aversion towards learning. This is
mainly because of outdated, boring teaching style, but this can be minimized when the class is
interactive and blended with technology. It is predicated that the future of learning is bright as
the modern education methods are promising.

It is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age.
Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
What sort of punishment should parents and teachers be allowed to use to teach good
behaviour to children?

Many people think that the punishment of the children is the best way to teach them to be a good
person. This essay disagrees with this, because the children who was punished when they was
young, they may grow up with a depression. A better way to teach them is giving the love and
talk what the true and false.

Initially, the punishment is the popular kind to teach the children in many countries, but it is not
a good way to teach them. If the children were punished, then they will punish their children in
the future too. Furthermore, the psychological studies reported that the children who be
punished, they have the most probability to be a depression, and in some case can have a suicide.
My online friend, for example, her mother hit her every morning, when she was young. This
affect to her at present, she has a depression while she was only 13 years old. This is a clear
example that the punishment is a bad choice.

In contrast, the love and talking is better. The teachers and parents can give some hug to let their
child know about the love, they will receive and give the love to the other people too. If they are
angry or annoying, moreover, the hug method is not positive effect; the parents should be calm
and let them alone just a moment. But during that time the parents have to stand near by them
until they can control their emotions. After that, the parents should talk with them about the
cause and reason why you have to let them calm down with their self, and also demonstrated the
right and wrong things. For instance, the Broken series in Thailand, it is relevant to the student
who has a problem from the parents divorce. The teacher, Kru Sai is a psychologist, use these
methods (separate the angry children, and give a hug to them) then the children can control their
emotions more than the past.

In conclusion, the children who be punished may be a good or bad person. Even the most of
people opine that is a right way, but the punishment can cause the depression too. From those
examples above, I agree with the other way, such as a hug and love, is a better way to teach
them.

Some people think that all university students should study whatever they like. Others
believe that they should only be allowed to study subjects that will be useful in the future,
such as those related to science and technology.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Should university students be given complete to choose their subjects? Some people think so.
Others believe they should only be permitted to study subjects, which will be useful in the future.
I think putting restrictions on higher education might not be a good idea.

One the one hand, when tertiary level students want to study something, they love, allowing
them to do so might bring the best results. They will study with passing and deep love for their
field. They might produce great outcomes. For example, Henry Moore, the 20th century British
Sculptor, deep down wanted to study sculpture although his father wanted him to become a
teachers. Ultimately, he studied what he wanted and became famous worldwide.

On the other hand, restricting higher education to some useful subjects does have some strong
arguments. To begin with, after completing their study, students will have better career
prospects. For example, architects and surgeons generally get more employment offers than a
student who studies Egyptian history. Second, states can fulfill same needs that have arisen or
that may arise in future. For example, if there are far fewer doctors or nurses in a country than
needed, governments can fund medical universities which will produce more doctors and nurses,
thus fulfilling society vital needs.

In conclusion, I think learners should have freedom in higher education. But if there are
shortages of graduates in any particular fields, learners can be encouraged into these subjects.

Countries are becoming more and more similar because people are able to buy the same
products anywhere in the world. Do you think this is positive or negative development?

To begin with, I should say various nations are becoming homogeneous because citizens can
purchase the same goods worldwide. Due to the state of the art, disparate humans are in touch
using different devices and gadgets, such as cellphones, the internet, WhatsApp, etc. As a result,
people have close communication in the aforementioned kind of relationship, so their willingness
becomes convergent. Actually, I agree with the above notion, due to third reasons; I will explain
them in the following.

Globalization causes humanity needs similar goods, called commodities. First, this necessity is
sensed disparate interests should be available anywhere in the world. For instance, nowadays, we
can find apple cellphones in each claim worldwide or probe Bangladeshi customs in New York
streets. Secondly, different import and export companies can develop their territory’s economic
situation by exchanging domestic productions. For example, the Sinopharm vaccine was
exported from China to other countries during the corona pandemic. Thirdly, not only does the
economy of countries enhance, but it also creates many job opportunities for local inhabitants.
In addition, while a country's economic circumstance augments, its residents' life level is
improved. So, these reasons cause similarity between various countries to be pleasant.

However, some folks think it is better that each clime uses its domestic productions and avoid
foreign kinds. I reckon, if a country only utilizes its national types, likely, its producers will not
have any international competitor, and in the indicated way, they hardly increase the quality of
their commodities, or maybe offer their productions more expensive than the actual worth, thus
mentioned manner may not be user-friendly.

To conclude, I feel any evolution activity has pleasant and unpleasant sides, but in the present
issue, the merits of the topic outperform its disadvantages.

Many museums charge for admission while others are free.

Do you think the advantages of charging people for admission to museums outweigh the
disadvantages?

There are various ways people like to interest and teach themselves and their families; for
example, they tend to visit different museums on holidays, which seems a good way to spend
one’s time. Museums, however, are not free of charge most of the time, and this is of merits and
demerits.

There are mainly two drawbacks to charging people when they are about to visit these sorts of
sites. First, this may hinder have-nots and less-privileged families enter to the museums;
therefore, they may never find the opportunity to teach themselves and their future generations
about what museums can offer, such as the cultural values and the history of the nation they are
living in. The second disadvantage that should not be neglected is that this phenomenon can
cause visitors dissatisfaction due to hefty prices. Accordingly, they may not enjoy the time they
are spending in the museum, where is intended to give them knowledge of the history and
pleasure.

On the contrary, there are three advantages regarding museums' admission charges. The first one
is that since the authorities of museums have enough money to manage the sites, they will be
more likely to hire people for different sectors of the venue. Newly hired people can help in
many different ways, such as keeping the sites clean and assisting visitors by giving them
instructions about the museums. Secondly, not only is this a great plus point for the museums,
but this is also beneficial to society. Hiring new people through these sites can somehow solve
the unemployment problem in countries that deal with this problem.

In conclusion, despite the drawbacks of not being able to go to the museums for a particular kind
of people and leaving some others unsatisfied due to the charges, I believe that the advantages
associated with recruiting individuals because of having enough monetary resources far
outweigh the disadvantages.

Governments should spend money on railways rather than roads.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Where should states pour money to build rail tracks or roads? Some people suggest government
ought to invest money on the former (railways) rather than the latter(road) (Ei line ta j bujte
parbe sei boss). I think governments should improve both sorts of infrastructure, depending on
needs are priorities.

On the one hand, there are some arguments to improve rail networks. First, compared to an
average road journey trains are faster. Modern bullet trains run at an astonishing 300 to 500 km
per hour, which is impossible for any road vehicle to achieve. Second, most travelers would say
that trains are more comfortable because they can relax, walk between the wagons, sleep or use
washroom if necessary. In addition, per head ticket cost is cheaper an average. A rail can
transport several thousand passengers at a time, which helps reduce travelling cost for the users.

However, not everywhere is rail available. So, in those places roads are a better alternative. One
example of that is short distance journeys. Nobody would argue to construct a rail line
connecting two nearby villages. Another such place would be mountainous regions. Although
tunnels can be dug beneath the mountains, doing so would be extremely expensive and not
economically viable. That’s why hill tracks areas are generally connected via road networks.
These examples suggest that roads cannot be ignored when it comes to investment.

In conclusion, I think for transportation both rails and roads are necessary. In places where rails
will bring greater benefits, rails should be given preference. Likewise, if roads are more
economically efficient states should not ignore them.

Some people claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. They say that the
only way to increase recycling is for governments to make it a legal requirement.
To what extent do you think laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste?

It is widely believed that recycling is the best way to prevent environmental problems from the
excess of misuse. Some opine that governments should put a strong legal requirement to raise
recycling among residents. I completely agree with the statement and I think that the regulation
would take action earlier than other ways.

There are plenty of misuse issues that come from residents not paying enough attention to
separate rubbish correctly in households. If the government makes a law separating recycling and
non-recycling trash in homes, it would resolve these problems from their root. Consequently,
most people will give more awareness while they throw away their waste since they would like
to avoid fines.

Raising taxes from un-recycling material is the other solution that the government should put a
legal on. Since the sort of material cannot be recycled or even reused but people tend to use it
since the cost is cheap. In addition, the government should give knowledge about the drawback
of single-used plastic in order to convince people to use other materials that can be recycled
instead.

On the other hand, the government should provide the basic needs to achieve goals. For instance,
the appropriate bins to separate rubbish and run the campaign to promote the benefit of
recycling.

To conclude, the most effective way that can persuade residents to manage their waste is by
running the regulation on. Since people will respond about environmental issues immediately if
it would cost their money to ignoring the laws.

Some people say that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to
or work in a foregin country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone
should learn a foreign language. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Some people state that learning a foreign language is beneficial only for travelling or working
abroad, while others claim that this is not the only purpose a foreign language should be learned
for. As far as I am concerned, learning a foreign language develops an individual’s linguistic and
social abilities and may also be crucial when travelling or working abroad.

To begin with, a person who is willing to visit a certain country and does not speak a worldwide
spoken language or that country’s national language will not be able to fit in. In fact, people
should learn a foreign language in order to adapt themselves to a new working environment, if
they are looking forward to working in another country, or to properly communicate with other
individuals. For instance, a study shows that the percentage of people who started to learn a
foreign language significantly increased due to their desire to immigrate to a foreign country to
work or just travel abroad.

On the other hand, it is argued that a foreign language can be learned for a diversity of reasons.
Moreover, it was shown that it develops people’s creativity and originality, and also enriches
their vocabulary. Clearly, individuals perceive this activity as an essential way of improving their
social abilities. As an example, a magazine published an article about the ease society has when
talking to foreigners. People are able to engage themselves more rapidly in conversations due to
the fact that they learned a foreign language that permit them to speak with more efficiently to
others.

In conclusion, a foreign language should not be learned only for working or travelling purposes,
but also for self-development. I consider that it is vital for a person to learn a new language in
order to properly communicate with anyone.

Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some
people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Economic growth is the key of living standards and improving quality of life. For some
countries, the economic evolution is a vital goal for government power. However, it is thought
that there are other types of progress that are equally crucial for a nation. Below, the gravity of
economic advancement and other developments for a ministry will be discussed.

On the one hand, economic expansion is one of the most powerful instruments in poverty
reduction. Moreover, improving by an economic growth lead to being wealthy in the country.
For instance, some newly developed Asian countries have been improving through several
investments, as well as, the status of the population is also getting improved because of earning
adequate finance. Furthermore, economic development influences on social soul. For example,
the employees who can earn money from their career pay more attention to their health,
education and entertainment activities. As a result, the rate of idlers may be declined.

On the other hand, there are numerous factors which are pivotal in union`s heart. Additionally,
the environmental issue is experienced every day by individuals, whereas, politics only see the
numbers. For example, in African countries, especially in undeveloped areas, people meet
seasonal drought in their daily growth. Thus, the regime should pay attention to these problems
and try to solve through several factors. Likewise, educational progress has a pivotal role in law
worldwide. In fact, when authority priorities the improvement of the education system, it will
produce professional masters who secure well-paying jobs. They will provide a good on
investment in the country.

In conclusion, economic process and other types of progresses should be equal, because
development is not only result of improving on the aspect of the nation, but also a requirement of
various aspects of life.
Cambridge-12, test-5, page-28

Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific
research, business and the academic world. Others believe that some information is too
important or too valuable to be shared freely.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

It is true that many people believe that, it is better to exchange more data as much as possible in
the field of science, trade, and academy. While this may encourage people to acquire more
knowledge, I believe that important and precious information should not provide free as it will be
undermined their effort.

In modern days, a vast amount of research articles and papers are published everyday life in
various sectors like science, business, academy. This newest knowledge encourages us to learn
more and it also helps us to keep us up to date. As an example, we can mention about
a medical profession where doctors need to be aware of their latest treatment methods and
medicine. However, I think all the scientific information are not for the general public so no need
to disclose it for all.

On the other hand, Researchers work hard to investigate new things and publish a new paper or
article. Sometimes the cost of an investigation is also huge which is not possible for them to bear
and continue their work. As government provide a little amount of money in this field and most
of the time scientist need to depend on the private sector and the private sector will only invest
money where they get turnover from it. If the knowledge discloses freely, they will not able to
make money which will undermine their work and they finally abandon this sector. Therefore, I
think precious information should not provide without any charge.

In conclusion, though scientific knowledge encourages us to enrich our learning, I think valuable
scientific research should not exchange freely.
Cambridge-12, test-6, page-51

At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of
young adults, compared with the number of older people. Do the advantages of this
situation outweigh the disadvantages?

It is true that nowadays some societies have a large number of younger generations and it
provides the country with many benefits over the increasing older generation.

On the one hand, youngers are strong, competent and knowledgeable people of the country. They
are the backbone of the state economy. Therefore, this population is able to handle any pressure
or risk strongly. Many companies with this young energy and creative brains provide a good
pleasant, comfortable working environment for all. It causes booster economic development. For
instance, if someone has a present working environment he or she tends to work with their best.
Hence, good production from all the companies and industries brings continuous income to the
country. Not only economic safety and security of the state also depend on them. They are the
baseline of safety.

On the other hand, unemployment will be increased dramatically due to the high demand for job
opportunities. In addition, urbanization also increased because younger are moving to the cities
for seeking green pastures. However, slums and environmental pollution increased due to this
matter. Moreover, it is quite difficult to provide infrastructure for the people who gather in the
cities.

In conclusion, new blood to the country is more beneficial and profitable. To lead the state and
carry out the economic growth on their shoulders.
Cambridge-12, test-7, page-72

In a number of countries, some people think it is necessary to spend large sums of money
on constructing new railway lines for very fast trains between cities. Others believe the
money should be spent on improving existing public transport.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Governments must always balance demands for newer modes of transport, including newer
railway lines to connect cities, with maintaining current transportation infrastructure. In my
opinion, the maintenance of current transport has a greater overall impact although the
importance of fast trains will make life more convenient for commuters in the short-term.

The rationale for investing in newer, faster railway lines is that they will make it easier for
people to travel between cities. Recent examples of this can be seen in Japan, which is famous
for its ‘bullet trains’ that allow residents to traverse the country in a matter of hours. This
provides an economic boon by allowing businessmen to travel easily from city to city. Moreover,
tourists can also use these trains for convenient transnational travel, thereby making the country
more tourist-friendly and helping to expand the industry.

Although I concede the above advantages, the majority of people are served by already existing
forms of public transportation. Tourists and businessmen travelling between cities are the
exception compared with those travelling inside cities. These travelers rely on buses, subways
and city streets to get around. Simple improvements or additions to a subway line impacts
millions of people. A new bus route can help workers get to and from work more easily. Even
the lowering of fares is a reform that would benefit less affluent travelers.

In conclusion, cities that are more concerned with actual improvements, rather than publicity
grabbing headlines, should focus on the most-used forms of public transport. In the future high-
speed rails may even become redundant as people commute less and transition to jobs based
primarily online.

Some people believe that allowing children to make their own choices on everyday matters
(such as food, clothes and entertainment) is likely to result in a society of individuals who
only think about their own wishes. Other people believe that it is important for children to
make decisions about matters that affect them.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Many people claim that giving chance for kids to make their selections on daily matters will lead
society to think about their own wishes. Some are in the opposite opinion, such that it is
beneficial for children to be self-autonomy. I wholeheartedly believe that these trends should be
changed.

Firstly, there is more porn in letting kids get decisions on their choices, which improves the kid's
problem-solving ability, critical thinking ability, and analytical thinking abilities. Then children
will be self-confident without depending on their parents, which helps a youngster face any
challenge, Secondly, decision-making freedom builds a youngster's self-autonomy ability for
example it may make future leaders.

However, there are more cons when the youngster tries to make their own decision due to lack of
experience and knowledge the child may be directed to the wrong path, which my destroys child
future, as a whole society will be selfish. Moreover, will reduce the kid's empathy, and self-
discipline. As an example, it will weaken the juvenile's morals and ethics. Furthermore, the
juvenile gets reluctant to obey their parents, and when they become teenagers, they will work
against the adults. Especially teenagers get closer to peer groups and they to be heroes in their
groups and face more accidents, as a piece of evidence teenagers face most the motorcycle
accidents and get addicted to drugs.

To conclude, by considering both aspects I strongly believe that both trends have to be changed.
Parents should allow children to get decisions to some extent under parental guidance and should
appreciate their achievements. Then child improves their decision-making abilities with self-
discipline.

Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social
problems, as well as practical problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this
statement?

Nowadays, most of the people wants to go abroad for other further education or any kind of
business. They face social and practical problem in living overseas since they don’t speak
foreign language. I agree to this point to some extent, and I will elaborate it below.

On the one hand, if individuals don’t have any proper knowledge of foreign language, they will
face issues in communicating with others. For instance, when they are going to shopping and
they like an item there and they want to ask its details from the seller but couldn’t ask because of
accent barrier. However, if anybody is planning to go another country, he/she must do
certifications in the country’s talk so that they easily communicate with the common people of
that nation. Moreover, they will find difficulty of speech in the very initial stage but later they
can learn by listening various podcast, watching movies, reading books and much more.

On the other hand, they rarely find any job of their mother tongue since most of the companies
wants to hire their domestic citizen because of jargon dilemma. Most of the states
don’t give public relations to the non-domestic folks until they have a high-level achievement in
word. Nonetheless, for side income they can do small jobs there for example: dish washing and
housekeeping that don’t have any requirement of speech. After all, I believe learning a word is
not tough everybody can study any kind of language in numerous mediums.

To conclude, residents in other nations where they have basic information of wordings, they will
face social as well as practical issues. They should teach them language to have more benefits
and they can easily communicate better than before.

Some people believe that nowadays we have too many choices. To what extent do you agree
or disagree?

Today few people believe that we have excessive choices. In my opinion, I agree with the given
statement because of the growing technology and the lifestyle we live in, we have got many
options to choose from.

To begin with, technology is the greatest key to our success. For instance, the mobile phone, the
internet has given us the solution to sit at a place and find out the details about places before we
visit. From booking a train to aeroplane tickets, everything is made easy because of the
technology we live in. So, suppose if forgot money at home and want to buy the train ticket and
have our debit or credit card details, we can just reserve it online in an instance or if there is a
huge line at the ticket counter the other preference for us, is the same that is booking the ticket
online. Moreover, going for shopping for the important occasion because of the busy schedule in
day-to-day hectic life can be difficult however we have got the privilege of online shopping
through various different websites from the comfort of home.

On the other hand, sometimes technology can be led to fraud and hacking bank accounts which
can be dangerous but nevertheless, technology has made our life swift. If the right precautions
are taken such as app lock, OTP, these frauds are avoidable. Some artificial machines are also
developed with the help of latest technologies to illustrate, the farming machine which has made
the work of the farmer quicker, stress-free and because of this option, the farmer gains a great
profit.

To conclude, I think having more choices is good for the lifestyle. So, in case if some problem
occurs with our choice one, we always have a different method to choose.

Some people say history is one the most important school subjects. Other people think that,
in today’s world, subjects like science and technology are more important than history.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

School Curriculum is one of the most revolutionary issues in societies. Children have to learn
many lessons in school that some people think just some are important. For example, some think
Science and Technology are the most significant subjects based on the modern world while
others believe History is the important one. In my idea, all school’s skills are essential for
children.

In recent years, most students tend to learn new science like genetic science and computer
science. These lessons not only are very attractive for pupils in terms of being up to date
Knowledge but also those are requirements of most job opportunities that they want to do after
graduation. In addition, technological subjects can enhance the creativity and innovation abilities
of children that is necessary for adults’ life.

On the other hand, history has been a part of human beings’ life ever. There is a myriad of merits
story in history which can motivate any people. For instance, there are many things about
successful people and their failures and successes that if students think about them and choose
them as their role models, these can be so useful to build their future life. Furthermore, pupils
need to know about the history of their countries or even an innovation like telegram and
electricity that it can be an inspiration for them.

To conclude, although there is some subject in curriculums that some children don’t like or even
they think those are worthless, I think every school lessons has noticeable issue to teach which
children need to make their future more brilliant.

In spite of the advances made in agriculture, many people around the world still go hungry.
Why is this the case? What can be done about this problem?

Despite the improvements which have been made in the field of farming. A lot of people across
the world still remain unfed or hungry. I think the main cause behind this is the uneven
distribution of wealth. However, this is a problem that can be solved by taking some different
steps.

If you walk on the streets of California or New York two of the richest cities in the world, you
will see many homeless people unfed or hungry at times. Around them are skyscrapers where
often the wealthiest people on the earth live. In Mumbai, the commercial capital of India, slums
and stock market opposite to each other. All this means, the wealth is unevenly distributed. The
rich often have everything but the very poor lack the basic necessities of life. The result is a lot
of hungry people in front of MacDonals or Apple headquarters in Silicon Valley.

However, some steps can help us solve this problem. First, taxing the rich could be a very good
way. Often the rich do not pay the fair share of their income as taxes. This tax money then can be
spent to improve the living standard of the very poor. Second, social net is very good approach to
solving global hunger. People who do not have jobs or income can be given food rations or
unemployment benefits so that they do not have to stame.

In conclusion, it is true that we have seen phenomenal improvements in agriculture industry. But
global hunger is still a problem. More improvement in farming technology is probably not
solution. Instead, I think proper distribution of wealth can solve this problem to a layer extent.

Some people believe that it is best to accept a bad situation, such as an unsatisfactory job or
shortage of money. Others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion

There are competing views on whether to accept disappointing situations, like lack of money or
inadequate jobs or to attempt and make such cases better. I firmly believe that it is always good
to improve bad situations because people want to lead a happy lifestyle.

On the one hand, facing hardships in life may at first seem disappointing but those difficulties
truly make people appreciate existing resources and cope with their low salaries productively.
Take, for example, some underdeveloped countries like the ones in Africa, where the residents
make a living with low-paying jobs. Although they are dissatisfied with the wages, they create
various ways to spend and suffice the money in the family effectively. As a result, they hardly
ever take for granted the basic elements of existence, like water and food

On the other hand, if people desire to reside happily, they are supposed to do their best to
enhance bad situations in their life instead of being disillusioned with an unsatisfied occupation.
In other words, my uncle used to suffer from poverty as he was monthly paid barely 30,000
BDT. Nonetheless, he never gave up and tried to find a better-paid profession. Consequently, his
determination to get worse circumstances better has resulted in inhabiting in a content way.

In conclusion, despite the fact that worse cases, like having only a little budget or working in an
unwanted atmosphere teach us how to cope with the hardships of life, I, however, believe that it
is a high time sufferers got up and find solutions to increase the values of their lifestyle.

Some people say that the main environmental problem of our time is the loss of particular
species of plants and animals. Others say that there are more important environmental
problems.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion

It is true that many people tackle with different types of environmental problems because of
increasing human populations, global warming and lack of resources. But, there are some
arguments among people. Some of them say that loss of plants and animal species gives us more
negative effects, the others believe that people should be more interested in other pivotal
environmental issues. Personally, ı believe that both of them have significant impact on people's
lives.

To begin with, day by day, planet Earth lost its nature for the last fifty years and plants and
animals are affected negatively by this change. They have lost their home because climate
change and fires play a critical role in their habitats. In my opinion, people should take some
measures immediately because if not, they might lose their oxygen and face with many difficult
issues such as carbon emission, gas fumes. If they did not put this issue of interest first, they
would not find any places to live in the World.

On the other hand, some people give more attention to the other environmental problems such as
lack of resources or rising population in cities. Naturally, they have a right to think that because
cities do not have enough facilities such as healthcare systems, education facilities and
infrastructures. These types of problems are more significant for human because, imagine when
you were sick, if the hospitals were not suitable for a cure, they would not know what they
should do. So, these types of problems are solved alertly.

To sum up, there are different kind of views about whether or not the main problem of human is
to lose plant and animal species. In my perspective, governments and societies give equal
attention to all environmental problems.

Some people say that music is a good way of bringing people of different cultures and ages
together
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion

Some people believe that music helps to bring people of different nationalities from all around
the world and even different ages and generations. I completely agree with this suggestion. In the
following paragraphs, I intend to outline the arguments of this idea.

Firstly, music is also well-known as a global language. The statistics demonstrate that
approximately 35% of the listeners of famous music do not understand its meaning. This figure
indicates that people do not care about the language of the song and it is all about melody. For
instance, music concerts and music festivals all around the world, are the events with the most
audience in it. If famous singers like Drake and The Weeknd and such like decide to hold a
concert in different cities around the globe, the tickets will be sold out quickly. Furthermore,
there is various musical taste between the people. There is an article that says that like-minded
people with the same music taste interact easier with each other.

On the other hand, some music is eternal. What I mean is different generations love these songs.
As an example, if you analyze Michael Jackson’s concert you will realize there are no age
restrictions. People between the age of 18-70 participate in this concert and everybody enjoys it.
Moreover, you can communicate with other people of various ranges of ages through music. You
can talk about music and you might share your playlist with them and recommend them to listen
to the latest music and likewise.

After having considered the aforementioned arguments in some depth, I have reached the
conclusion that music and everything connected with it can be a good tool for communicating
with different nations and generations. This proves that people do not care about the language or
even the concept of the music, they like its melody.

Nowadays many people choose to be self-employed, rather than to work for a company or
organisation.
Why might this be the case?
What could be the disadvantages of being self-employed?

At present time, lots of individuals prefer to start their own businesses despite several decades
ago when the majority of nations were employed in companies. In the following essay, some of
the main reasons for this change will be mentioned and also, I will outline the drawbacks of the
new attitude.

To begin with, there are some key motivations why people would rather work as self-employed
workers. Firstly, it provides an appreciative circumstance for them to demonstrate their talents
like social connections. That is because when they work in a corporation, they have to do just
their job responsibilities and cannot get adequate opportunities to arise other abilities and
favourable preferences. Besides, plenty of individuals opine that having a self-employed job is
more beneficial and can make much more money by doing that. In other words, they claim that
the companies do not give them the chance to achieve sufficient money to be able to provide
better conditions in their lives. For instance, many employees do not have a chance to buy
automobiles or houses.

However, this type of career could cause several disadvantages. First and foremost, some people
might have to leave their businesses finally because they couldn't feel a sense of satisfaction in
terms of income and benefits. Although a few people achieve success and develop their work,
the majority of them should give up and change their jobs and even attitudes on this subject.
Moreover, it brings much stress and negative impacts for a person and sometimes it doesn't
permit him/her to maintain a work-life balance. To explain, many employers of big companies
do not get enough time to spend with their families.

To conclude, this type of occupation has different aspects and if someone wants to establish one
of those, he/she ought to consider various factors to become successful.

In some countries owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people
Why might this be the case?
Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?

It is clear that residence is one of the most essential for human life. In some nations, it is thought
by many that purchasing a home is more crucial than hiring one. In my perspective, this trend
can bring positive elements for individuals.

To begin with, living in a home for a long time together is considered will make an attachment to
the family. Although hiring a residence can offer more options from different types of
accommodation, owning one will have emotional relations to the family. Especially with the
elderly and children, who tend to enjoy living in a place where they connect with neighbors and
locality. For instance, if they change many of their locations, they found it strange and take a lot
of time to get used to a new environment.

Moreover, there are certainly economic benefits in the future associated with buying a home. To
be more precise, paying monthly buy home bills will result in possessing an estate after a long-
term period, despite it being known that the expense of both buying or hiring a home monthly is
roughly equivalent. A good example of this is a family living in main town who should pay
nearly 25,000 BDT each month on renting a flat, while by paying 30,000 instead they could own
the same home after fifteen years, even home value at the time might be higher than before
initially. Thence, this could be by far much more advantages for them.

In conclusion, by the reasons and analyses above I am convinced purchasing a home always give
positive features in the owner’s future.

In the future, nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to
read everything, they want online without paying.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Due to technological advancements and free internet facilities, the majority of people are able to
access everything online. According to some experts, hard copies of newspapers and books will
disappear in the future. However, I completely disagree with this statement because there are
some limitations such as discomfort associated with online reading.

Despite many advantages of online reading, there are various drawbacks to using e-books.
Firstly, all age groups do not experience the joy of reading on the computer. They look for the
tactile experience of paper along with reading. More specifically, older people, for instance, do
not intend to learn newer things at that stage. Overall, they just feel comfortable with the
conventional way of reading.

In addition to that, technological limitations are another aspect. I am aware that there are many
regions, where the internet facilities are not up to the standard. So, in these kinds of places, the
online option cannot replace the paperback version ever. For example, in Bangladesh, more than
60% of the population live in rural areas, and there due to regular power cuts and limited internet
facilities, people rely on just printed versions of reading material. Moreover, the poor condition
of power and internet facilities are not expected to improve significantly at least in the near
future.

In conclusion, I would subscribe to the view that in spite of various technological developments
and unlimited data, many people will continue to read the printed copies of books because of
their love for paper. Therefore, the complete replacement will never happen.

Some people say that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things.
Other people think that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Over recent years, people's consumption habits are changed due to new advances. One of them is
marketing. Although most people assume that advertising is very effective in encouraging
buying, others assert that commercials are ignored by people because it is so usual. I will discuss
both sides and show why I agree with the former.

First of all, people are affected by visual items so marketing is a significant part of our lives. Let
me explain better, you can easily see advertisements when you do basic things such as watching
tv or walking. For instance, you go to a shopping mall in order to buy your requirement. When
you are shopping, you see some ads which consist of colourful slogans on the boards. Although
you do not notice, you are affected by them. Therefore, your shopping is changing and you tend
to buy the product on the board.

Secondly, it is true that commercials are so common so we are used to seeing them. People
thinking that we no longer pay attention to marketing overlook that there are various types of
ads. As much as we don't ignore these ads, our subconscious is affected by these ads. For
example, we see an orange slogan which represents a burger brand. Then, when we see
something orange, we want to eat this burger brand. Moreover, marketing companies try to make
better ads when we ignore them.

In conclusion, whether marketing leads people to buy things or not is a controversial issue all
over the world. However, the former outweighs the latterly. Furthermore, it is predicted that
commercials will always affect consumption habits.

In some cultures, children are often told that they can achieve anything if they try hard
enough.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of giving children this message?

Convincing children that hard work makes everything possible is popular in some nations. This
message can be advantageous to children as it motivates them and encourages them to chase
their dreams. However, it can cause some negative consequences.

On the one hand, this message is beneficial to the young generation in many ways. Children
usually have a lot of dreams since they are at the beginning of their lives and they think
everything is possible. When adults encourage them to pursue their passions and believe in them,
it pushes them to become the best version of themselves through working hard and staying
positive. Another benefit is that it keeps children encouraged even when they fail. In other
words, when children grow into adults and start chasing their dreams, they will surely encounter
hardships. If they were taught that persistence and hard work will get them through, they will not
give up and will stay motivated.

On the other hand, children who believe this message may encounter some problems. Firstly, due
to believing everything is possible, they may set unrealistic goals for themselves and think they
can achieve them. For instance, they may think they can become millionaires at the age of fifteen
and when they reach that age, they become frustrated that they did not get what they wanted.
Secondly, children may push themselves to their limits and work too hard which affects them
negatively. This can be exemplified by children who study all the time because they want to be
top students and suffer from mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and isolation.

To conclude, although it is beneficial to tell children that working hard towards a goal always
yields positive results, it can cause them issues such as frustration and burnout.

In some countries, more people are becoming interested in finding out about the history of
the house or building they live in.
What are the reasons for this?
How can people research this question?

Nowadays the majority of people are having a huge intention to explore the story behind the
accommodation they live in. This essay will explain the reason for this phenomenon as well as
describe how the way people find it out.

First of all, people are looking for the background of the place where they stay due to the recent
issues about the land conflicts. This is simply because some citizens are not clever enough to
deal with the right land seller which is sometimes a swindler; as a result, later problems such as
building destruction might happen. That is why people start to search for their house’s real
history. In addition, humans tend to be scared about the myths story of any place, especially their
own house; therefore, they choose to explore the fact behind their place and its surroundings to
fulfil their curiosity.

In terms of researching history, one of the most common ways to do this is by asking the former
residents about the true past story about the building. They can help to share brief information
whether the house is safe or not. Furthermore, we can check out the legality of the documents of
the building or the land we stay on in order to make sure there will be no controversy regarding
the land in the future. These would help us to live peacefully without any doubt or fear.

In conclusion, the reason some people recently have the ambition to find out the history of their
house is to prevent any problem in the future and to live more peaceful. The method that is
usually used for this is asking the previous habitant and checking the important documents of the
building and land.

In their advertising, businesses nowadays usually emphasise that their products are new in
some way.
Why is this?
Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

Currently, business owners often claim that their products are new in some aspects in their
advertisements. This is mainly because they want to draw attention from their customers. From
my perspective, this phenomenon should be seen as a negative development as individuals will
generally focus on new goods and forget many traditional valuable items.

The primary reason that a great number of new innovations are spotlighted in the advertisements
is that it is a marketing strategy to allure more customers. In other words, every time when new
products with new features are launched, people are always fascinated by that brand. Not only a
particular item becomes popular but also other products under that brand attract more consumers.
This is evident according to Diamon Grains, a food company, pointing out that when new
flavours of snacks are introduced, other types of snacks under its brand receive more recognition
as well.

Nevertheless, emphasizing new characteristics of commodities in ads should be considered a

negative development. This is because, in the long run, there will be no original products left to
be seen since they are substituted by the latest developed items. Consequently, societies lost
several precious goods. For instance, it is difficult to find traditional Thai desserts to eat in
Bangkok. In contrast, boba tea, chocolate cake and Italian pudding are prevalent.

In conclusion, numerous companies are trying to represent new features of their commodities in
order to acquire consumers’ concentration. This action can cause catastrophic losses in cultural
products. Thus, I believe that this is definitely a negative development.

Many manufactured food and drink products contain high levels of sugar, which causes
many health problems. Sugary products should be made more expensive to encourage
people to consume less sugar.
Do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, a large number of people have been facing many health problems, especially
Diabetes because of the huge consumption of manufactured food and drinks that contained high
levels of sugar. Therefore, increasing the price of sugary products would encourage consumers to
consume less sugar. Personally, I am opposed to the view that it should be made more expensive.

First and foremost, the major drawback regarding the recession in sweetened products is, it can
lead to a severe economic downturn in terms of business failure and unemployment. This is
because when the price has risen, there will be no demand and purchasing power, meanwhile, the
business has produced high quantities of sweets. In other words, there would rather be a loss in
sales than profits which can lead to the shutdown of business and finally, workers will be
unemployed.

Furthermore, according to the advancement made in the food industry, there is an alternative way
of unsweetened products are manufactured in particular for healthy people. In addition, these
products can be sold at a cheaper price while, they can be promoted and persuaded by consumers
in the particular market. For example, Coca Cola has introduced their 0 per cent sugar and no
calories drinks. It has greatly captured people's attention to purchase those healthier drinks. As a
result, Coca Cola has accomplished the viral launch as well as gained benefit in sales without
uplifting the selling price.

In conclusion, the desire for upsurging prices would be affected significantly on the economy
with a higher rate of poverty. Whereas, there were various substitute sugary products that
minimize the unhealthy consequences. All in all, it can generate more harm than advantages.

In the future all cars, buses, and trucks will be driverless. The only people travelling inside
these vehicles would be passengers.
Do you think the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages?

Due to the development of technology, in the future there will be driverless vehicles such as cars,
buses, trucks or public transport. I personally believe that automated vehicles will bring more
benefits in participating in traffic than the limitations.

First of all, self-driving automation help people decrease traffic accidents because some people
do not obey traffic laws. In addition, businesses would not need to hire drivers to deliver their
products to their customers and ensure the safety of passengers when using autopilot car
services. Besides, it is suitable for older and disabled travelers when using to move somewhere
and react quickly when there is an obstacle ahead or something suddenly passed by like animals
or careless pedestrians. For instance, if you use a vehicle with an automated driver, you can
spend more time doing other work during sitting in the car.

Meanwhile, we still have several disadvantages such as the number of drivers will be
disappeared and resulting in an increase in unemployment in the future. Another issue is that
automated vehicles would require high costs in repairs or annual maintenance which would be
annoying and expensive as well. For example, it would be the long term of the process which
waste time and money to the companies have removed all old moto driver instead of driverless
cars go with training is quite cost an arm and a leg. However, problems will be solved if the
government has the proper policy for the people and automation may help to reduce significantly
the rate of accidents.

In conclusion, as far as I am concerned, I am in favor of the opinion that automated vehicles will
have more benefits than drawbacks. Furthermore, many companies and researchers have
produced driverless cars to serve the demand of residents in recent years.

It is important for people to take risks, both in their professional lives and their personal
lives.
Do you think the advantages of taking risks outweigh the disadvantages?

It is sometimes argued that people should become more flexible to take risks in both their private
and professional lives. While I accept that deciding to take risks may be dangerous and
uncomfortable, I believe that risky decisions could bring about life-changing experiences.

On the one hand, stepping out of a comfort zone may be difficult for a majority of people as their
future becomes uncertain, vague and full of risks. For example, a teenager who is accidentally
pregnant will feel less inclined to keep her baby as she has no experience when it comes to child-
rearing. She also will be put under a lot of pressure since she is so young to be financially stable.
Therefore, her child will not be provided with enough essential nutrients and necessary baby
items such as clothes and diapers. People tend to be reluctant to take risks in their personal lives
due to unknown hazards.

On the other hand, I believe that risky decisions should be made when needed since they could
cast a new light on one's life. For instance, a patient who is diagnosed with cancer is offered a
major surgery to get rid of a tumour in his liver and he is heralded that the risk of the surgery is
high but it can save his life. If he happily accepts this highly risky situation and takes the surgery,
he will have a possibility to survive. In terms of professional lives, the number of people who
change their jobs to ones that are completely different from their fields is rapidly increasing
today. This trend is rising in popularity because of several reasons. Firstly, they have a chance to
challenge themselves escaping from a tedious work routine. Secondly, they are able to gain new
experience and practical skills in their newly chosen fields.

In conclusion, although taking risks in both daily and professional lives may bring about a few
drawbacks, it could utterly change people's lives by bringing unique and useful professionally
experiences

Some children spend hours every day on their smartphones.

Why is this the case?
Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

In the current era and with the evolution of technology and the internet, the youth are spending
most of their daily time on their smartphones. This phenomenon is due to multiple reasons that
will be elaborated on in this essay, as well as why I personally claim that this development has a
negative impact on children.

To begin with, there are multiple factors that drive children to spend hours on technology. One of
them would be the entertainment found on social media, which makes them addicted to scrolling
through the internet. To illustrate, a recent study I have read lately proves that social media
platforms are designed to increase people's consumption of the content posted online, which
explains why most kids cannot get off their phones. Moreover, parents offer smartphones to their
kids from an early age to occupy their free time instead of motivating them to go outside. Thus,
all these reasons contribute to this current phenomenon.

So why do I claim that this development has a negative impact? Firstly, this development leads
to addiction in most cases because children are exposed to these technological devices from an
early age. Secondly, kids who spend their days on their phones are often impacted negatively
regarding their studies and academic achievements, making them lazier and less motivated to
study and focus. For example, a smartphone was given to my sister when she was 10 years old,
which made her addicted and therefore, her school grades dropped significantly. Consequently,
technology should be used prudently.

To summarize, most factors leading to this serious phenomenon are provoked by adults who are
unconscious of the damage it might have on the youth, and I personally envision that social
media should be restricted before the age of 18 years old to limit its drawbacks.

Some people believe that professionals such as doctors and engineers should be required to
work in the country where they did their training. Others believe they should be free to
work in another country if they wish.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

It can be argued that people with specialized skills should work in the place where they have
done the training or should work in a different location in the world. While working in the
training place has plenty of benefits, I believe that oversea working will have more advantages.

First of all, the main advantage for people working in the training environment is that they do not
need to adapt to the new environment, such as knowing team members or any specific location.
Moreover, both leaders and workers can save much time as the workers already knew the
location and daily route compared to other new workers. In addition, they might work more
effectively because they understand how to distribute time. For example, the doctors who work
in the hospital where they have done their internship, therefore they have more time to see their
patients or continue learning new knowledge.

On the other hand, there are several benefits for people working in another country. Firstly, they
have more chances to meet various nationalities during their work. As a result, they can extend
their worldview as they communicate with people from different backgrounds. Secondly, as
staying in another country, their foreign language will be improved quickly as they are talking
with local people. For instance, many Taiwanese are studying and working in the United State,
so they have to speak English during the time they work. Lastly, they will gain a number of
unforgettable experiences as they stay outside of their comfort zone.

In conclusion, both working environments have their own benefits. In my view, it is a rare
chance to work in another country so people should try once to explore a new place.

Nowadays, a growing number of people with health problems are trying alternative
medicines and treatments instead of visiting the usual doctor. Do you think this is a positive
or negative development?

These days, more and more people who have health issues are trying alternative medicines and
treatment and are not going to their regular physicians. Personally speaking, I think this is a
negative development and will provide you with reasons to back up my opinion.

First, the most important thing that is being neglected by patients is the fact that their usual
doctor has been treating them for ages. Thus, she is quite aware of their past, social and medical
history. This knowledge brings with it many advantages. According to many recent studies,
something called “Personal treatment” is way more effective than any other treatment. Personal
treatment is a very detailed process of a special treatment which is designed for one specific
patient and only that patient. This unique treatment is designed based on that person’s long-term
history which is owned by just their regular doctor.

Secondly, in this modern economy which almost everyone is suffering or will suffer in the future
from a couple of epidemic diseases, like obesity, hypertension and diabetes, multiple
pharmaceutical companies are competing with each other to make better medication for these
diseases and the sooner they make their drugs, the better. However, this rush that they have to
bring their drugs into the business, has some negative aspects. Although some of these new and
alternative drugs might work more effectively from a short-term perspective, they could have
unexpected and major side effects in the future since they haven’t been tested properly.

In conclusion, while the proportion of people with health problems that are turning away from
their usual physician and turning to try alternative medicines and treatments is growing daily, I
believe this is a negative change because it can lead to the neglection of the patient’s past history
and undesirable causes of these new drugs in the near future.
