Position Description

Position Title: Mobile Developer (React Native & Expo Specialist)

Location: Mumbai, India

Reports To: Manager, Management Information Systems & Technology (MIST)

Position Summary:

As a Mobile Developer specializing in React Native and Expo, you will be an integral member of our dynamic
software development team. You'll focus on crafting, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile
applications for both Android and iOS platforms. Your role will involve technical expertise, a creative mindset,
and extensive experience in mobile development, enabling you to turn unique ideas into innovative,
cross-platform mobile applications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

○ Application Lifecycle Management: Support the full application lifecycle, from concept generation to
design, testing, release, and ongoing support.
○ Development and Coding: Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native and Expo,
ensuring the delivery of clean, efficient code. Write native Android or iOS code when required.
○ Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and gather specific application
requirements, offering effective solutions.
○ Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct comprehensive unit and UI tests, apply debugging techniques to
enhance performance, and ensure the stability of the application.
○ User Interface Design: Create user interfaces that improve user experience, in line with current UI/UX
trends.
○ Collaboration and Planning: Work closely with the product development team to strategize and
implement new features, while maintaining a high standard of application performance.
○ Quality Assurance Commitment: Uphold high-quality standards in both new and existing applications,
ensuring they successfully pass QA testing protocols.
○ Innovation and Research: Proactively research and propose new mobile products, applications, and
protocols.
○ Industry Awareness: Stay informed about the latest technological advancements and trends in mobile
development.

Required Education and Experience

○ A minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Mobile Developer, with a focus on React Native and
Expo for Android and iOS devices.
○ A Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Services, or related field.
○ Proficient knowledge of JavaScript, React Native, Expo, and relevant computer languages for Android
and iOS native development.
○ Demonstrated portfolio of released applications on the App Store or the Android market.
○ Proficiency with third-party libraries, APIs and OOP design principles.
○ Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude.
○ Ability to perform in a team environment.

Preferred Education and Experience

○ 3-5 years work experience.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such
as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax/scanner machines.
