Your primary role as an Electrical Engineer in an unconventional asset will be to provide professional advice and

guidance regarding electrical systems, schemes, equipment or techniques, facility designs and solutions to operating and
maintenance problems. You will have a thorough understanding of plant operations, specialized experience in electrical high
voltage and low voltage systems for large scale complex electrical distribution system. In addition, you will have experience in
power reliability analysis for electrical distribution systems which involves carrying out power system studies using software like
ETAP etc.

Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Provide day-to-day technical support to Operations and Maintenance Units to troubleshoot and fix electrical systems including
reporting and documentation.
Provide expert advice and assistance to design, construction, maintenance engineers and operation personnel on all matters
related to electrical systems.
Develop engineering conceptual plans for the new installation and upgrade projects including development of work scopes,
calculations and detailed technical specifications.
Review Project Proposals and Detailed Designs packages for new facilities.
Develop and maintain the UR engineering standards and design best practices.
Participate on the testing & commissioning of the new facilities and Turnaround and Inspection (T&I).
Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
Analyze system performance and find solution for Energy saving.
Ensure quality, cost effective and timely solutions to any upgrade.
Test and pilot new technologies.
Ensure full HSE Compliance.
Report and analyze key performance indices.
Make recommendations for technical/economic optimization of existing facilities.
Lead feasibility/profitability studies for new facilities.
Contribute to Business Unit strategy.
Assists in the training, development and mentoring of younger staff.
Provide analysis, evaluation and interpretation in support of projects, processes, and financing related to Saudi Aramco capital
investment decisions.
Maintain and expand on contacts within the industry.
Regularly interact with other professionals in various company organizations involved in capital planning and economic
analysis.
Minimum Requirements
You must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. A higher degree is preferred.
A Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is desirable but is not essential.

You should have a minimum of 15 years working experience in Electrical engineering, with at least 10 years’ experience in the
field of Oil and Gas Industry.

You must be conversant and have working knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as NFPA, ANSI IEEE, IEC, API,
NEC, NACE and others.
Experience with specifications and data sheets for Electrical equipment like EHV GIS/AIS Switchgear, Power Transformers,
large synchronous/induction motors, HV/LV Switchgears and Control gears, EHV/HV/LV Cables,Bus ducts, EHV GIBs, UPS,
Battery Charger, NGR, Panel boards is a requirement.
You should also have experience in preparation of Single line diagrams, protection and metering schemes, motor schematics,
Hazardous area classification drawings, substation automation architecture, synchronizing and bus changeover schemes.
Experience in electrical engineering calculations like Grounding/Earthing, Battery charger/Battery sizing, Transformer sizing,
Cable sizing, Electrical Load schedules, Lighting. Also knowledge of Electrical Power system studies including Short Circuit,
Load Flow analysis, Motor starting, Arc Flash Hazard studies, Relay coordination and setting using software like ETAP is
essential.
You must also demonstrate the ability to work with design contractors to review contractor design packages, provide input to
FEED packages, introduce new technology to enhance company productivity, suggest innovative solutions to optimize
equipment performance, demonstrate safe working practices. Be able to conduct failure analysis and provide recommendations
for failed electrical equipment. Experience with electrical equipment field Installation, Commissioning and testing as well as in
Electrical Equipment layouts, plant cable routing layouts, lighting and grounding layouts is preferred.
You should be able to communicate with multidiscipline engineers to complete projects.
Have proven ability to communicate effectively with management at all levels within the organization. Strong written and oral
communication skills are also essential to be able to communicate what are frequently complex technical, economic and
commercial concepts in a clear and succinct manner to individuals and groups from diverse professional backgrounds.
You must be able to work effectively with the minimum of supervision on relatively unstructured tasks. You must be willing to
work in remote areas depending on the project or task assignments.

In Kingdom Liquids to Chemicals Development (IK LTC) is developing the production, shipping and
marketing of low carbon hydrogen and ammonia as an alternative route-to-market for our oil and
gas resources. The SAMREF Max Chemicals (SMC) Division under IK Liquids to Chemicals
Development is seeking a Sr Operation Engineer to join the division. The division is responsible the
activities of SAMREF Max Chemicals (SMC) Project Development under the Liquid to Chemicals
Program (LTC) and drive the development of project assessment, and the delivery of project
requirements during FEL I, FEL II and FEL III. Additionally, the function will be solely responsible for
leading the formation & activities of the Integrated Project Team (ITP), the formation of project
steering committee or equivalent committees to drive major project decisions.

Electric Engineer Specialist is responsible to provide professional advice and guidance regarding
electrical systems, schemes, equipment or techniques, facility designs and solutions to operating and
maintenance problems. You will have a thorough understanding of plant operations, specialized

Title: Sr Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear Specialist to join the Technical Services
Division of Power Systems Technical Support Department. The Technical Services Division is
responsible for providing and managing highly technical and specialized engineering services to
support the safe and reliable operation of Saudi Aramco electrical power system generation,
transmission and distribution networks. The High Voltage Equipment Engineer specializing in
switchgear and control gear, works under the High Voltage Equipment Unit (HVEU). The
incumbent provides the specialized technical support for the company with regards to designs,
standards, commissioning, maintenance, operation, investigations, etc. with regards to power
system switchgear and control gear; ensuring safe and reliable Power Supply.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serves as Subject Matter Expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause
investigations. Perform Root Cause Analysis on all critical equipment failures. Perform
continuous review of the HV equipment maintenance programs to identify improvements to
ensure the HV asset's safe and reliable operation. Provides technical consultation to the
maintenance agency as required in identifying and reviewing critical spare parts list of existing
equipment. Provides technical consultation to assess the condition of aging switchgears and
breakers. Provide technical expertise on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating if the
equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions. Provides technical
engineering input on repair details and offers onsite technical support, especially for critical
equipment for the process. Provides engineering input for switchgear work packages to ensure
Saudi Aramco standards and material specifications are followed. Represent the organization
in industry and professional organizations, users' group, which address or govern electrical
codes and standards. Review and update company standards and be familiar with international
standards. Possess strong technical training, speaking, writing, and customer service skills.

Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a
recognized and approved program, an advanced degree (Msc) and Professional Engineer
certification such as chartership or PE is preferred.
The successful candidate will have a Minimum of 8 years’ experience of operations and
maintenance experience directly working with MV switchgear/control gear. You will have In-
depth knowledge, experience, and recognition as a switchgear specialist include membership
of international engineering bodies and contribution at international conferences.
You will be able to demonstrate Working Knowledge of ANSI and IEC designed switchgear,
breaker design (including mechanisms and interruption technology - vacuum, air, compressed
air, SF-6), motor control gears, motor contactors, and pad-mounted SF-6 equipment.
You will also have the ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities and seek
opportunities to improve results and processes proactively, contributing to the goals, safety,
and profitability of the company. Additionally, assimilating and quickly applying newly
