The many names of India
Session 2:
The major historical developments during the medieval period.- The
evolution of ‘Indian’ culture, greater contact between India and other parts
of the world and the growing popularity of the Bhakti and Sufi movements.
Session 3:
Sources of medieval history- Archaeological sources
Temples, palaces, mosques, inscriptions, utensils, tools, weapons,
ornaments and paintings, coins-(Drarya pariksha -a book on coins return
during the reign of Alauddin khalji)
Session 4:
Sources of medieval history- Literary sources
Chronicles, autobiographies, biographies, travelogues.
