SINCGARS RADIO (SINGLE CHANNEL GROUND AND AIRBORNE

RADIO SYSTEM SETUP:

Some radio serial numbers: 106214, 109087, 109148, 109512

1) SINCGARS Radio shows “PT” before it starts up


2) PT will go blank when radio is turned to “LD”
3) Switch Radio to LD
4) It will say “Wait”
5) SINCGARS Radio will start beeping or making a tone when it is Ready
6) Press “Menu” Button
7) 1st time it will show Volume.
8) Volume should be set to 5
9) Press “Menu” Button 2nd time.
10) This will put it on Channel.
11) Channel should be on “1”.
12) Press “Menu” Button 3rd time for “Power”
13) Click “7” Button “CHG”.
14) Click “7” “CHG” Button until it says “PA”.
15) Hit Menu button again until it says “Mode”.
16) Hit “7” “CHG” button until it says “SC”, which means “Single
Channel”.
17) Press “Menu” Button again until it says “COMSEC”.
18) Press “7” “CHG” Button until it changes back to “PT”.
19) PT = Plain Text.
20) As soon as it hits “PT”, push “FREQ” Button.
21) Zeros will show.
22) Hit “Menu” button again.
23) Dashes will show.
24) Enter Frequency 4130.00
25) Click “STO”
26) Turn On.
27) Black Phone hooks up to either port on the right side.
28) Bottom port is preferable.
29) SINCGARS is now ready.
