Q.7 Self-confidence is a process that takes efforts and commitment. It 2
requires you to cultivate a positive attitude about yourself to set goals
and take risks. Two ways of building self-confidence:
SWOT analysis: SWOT stands for Strength, Weakness, Opportunity,
Threat. This analysis is a useful technique for understanding your
strengths and weaknesses.
Experience: Gaining experience requires you to take the first step no

matter how hard it may seem, and then keep practising. Each incident
of success will take your self-confidence a step further.

intangible offering, i.e. a service that does not have a physical form but
provides value to the customer. Services businesses offer value using
skills, consultancy, expertise, efficiency etc. Some service businesses

Q.11 By default, a cell reference is a relative reference, which means that 2
the reference is relative to the location of the cell. Relative references
change when a formula is copied to another cell. Example:
=SUM(D2:D6).
An absolute reference is a reference that cannot be changed when
copied, so no changes absolute reference will be seen in rows or
columns in the formula when you copy them. Absolute references are
used when you want to fix a cell location. Example: =SUM($D$2: $D$6).

language should be correct in your presentation in order to create
a proper impact and impression on the audience.

Q.17 a. Checking spelling and grammar: While creating a document on a 4
computer, we may commit spelling mistakes. In such cases, a word
processing application helps us correct the spelling. It also provides
a grammar checker to check the grammar of the sentence.
b. Tricks to speed up the text selection process:
• Position the mouse pointer anywhere on that word and double
click to select.

click to select.
• Position the mouse pointer anywhere in the paragraph and
quadruple click to select.
• Press Ctrl + A on the key board to select the whole document.
c. Find and Replace: This feature is used to search for a text and
replace it with other text. Once you find a word, choose Replace if
you want to change only first occurrence of a word and use Replace
All to replace all the matching occurrences.
d. Synonyms and Thesaurus: A word processor helps to look up
synonyms i.e. different words with the same meaning in the
thesaurus. The list of synonyms can be accessed from a context
menu. A submenu of alternative words and phrases are displayed.
