LAB REPORT TEMPLATE

TITLE: a brief concise and descriptive title


Statement of the problem with the objective

• What question are you trying to answer?


• Include any background information about the specific title

Hypothesis and Theory


• Write a possible solution for the problem (make sure the solution is a complete
sentence)

Materials
• Make a list of all items used in the lab
• In your report use software to plot the discussion graphs
• Make sure in your report everything should be visible and standard.

Procedure
• Write a paragraph or a list that explains what you did in the lab
• Your procedure should be written, so then anyone else could repeat the experiment.

Result
• This section includes any data tables, calculations or notes you make during the lab.
• Although some students may wish to recopy original data: it is important to always
preserve the original.
Conclusion
• Compare experimental data with calculation value then accept or reject your hypothesis
• Explain why you accept or reject your hypothesis using data from the lab
• List one thing you learned and describe how it applies to a real-life situation
• Discuss possible experimental errors that could have occurred during data collection

Note: report document format (time new roman, 12 Pt, 1 on top, bottom, and right, 1.25in left)
