QUESTION ONE (30 MARKS)

a) Desktop publishing works with WYSIWYG principle. Explain this concept(2 marks)
b) State three ways of how you can create a new publication (6 marks)
c) What are boundaries and ruler guides used for? (4 marks)
d) Give the importance of a master page (4 marks)
e) Explain why grouping of objects is very important in a publication (4 marks)
f) By use of a diagram draw and describe the screen layout of MS publisher (6 marks)
g) Differentiate layering from grouping as used in DTP (4 marks)

QUESTION TWO (15 MARKS)

a) State areas where Microsoft publisher is being used in our daily life (5 marks)
b) Explain what to do when the text box you have created has too much text (5 marks)
c) Describe the design principles to be considered when working with fonts in a
publication (5 marks)
