A. Assignment three has three parts.
1. The activity/ worksheet for two main ideas (One activity per one big idea)
2. The solution to the activity (per each activity)
3. The Facilitation note (Per each activity)
B. Use the template below to develop the activity and refer to the rubric to determine if you are moving in the right direction.
Important note:
- There should be a proportion with the number of direct, divergent and convergent questions.

2. Model
The activity starts with one or more models (graph, table, picture, manipulative) that include minimal text. Each model
consists of reliable data appropriate for the topic.
3. Learning Cycle
3.1. Questions are provided early in the activity, which helps students explore the model(s).
3.2. Learners are asked to process information (describe, interpret, summarize, calculate, transform data,
compare/contrast) presented in the model.
3.3. Questions are provided that lead the learners toward the content learning objective(s) through problem-
solving or critical thinking.
3.4. Learners are asked to articulate their understanding in written explanations.
3.5. Learners are provided opportunities to practice or apply their understanding of the learning objectives.
4. Process
4.1. Learners are asked within the activity to reflect on their learning of content and/or use of process skills.
4.2. The activity's Questions (or instructions) direct Learners to work collaboratively. (This characteristic is not required
but is encouraged if it fits naturally within the activity.)
4.3. Overall activity strengths
Formatting, structure, and page length
 Cover page: The cover page should contain a name, student number, title,
 Margins: Margins – minimum 2.5 cm, maximum 3 cm all around.
 Paragraphs: double or 1.5 space all of the essay paragraphs, including long quotations (more than 40 words), which should have NO
quotation marks and be indented 1.3 cm to the right (can vary with the referencing system you are using). Leave 1 blank line between
paragraphs or indent the first line (not both). Use ‘Paragraph’ OR ’Line and paragraph spacing’ for 1.5 OR double spacing.
 Font: use Times New Roman; sizes are 12 for the text and 14 for headings.
 Reference should be APA style.
