PURPOSE
This document will cover how to integrate an Insight camera into the CX One Network Configurator for use with an
Omron CJ series PLC. Before beginning, the correct EDS file for the camera being used will be needed, ideally
from the version of the Insight Explorer software that matches the firmware of the camera being used.

Install EDS files to Network Configurator. Expand Vendor > Cognex > In-Sight Vision Systems > IS2000 and drag
to the Etherner/IP network segment:
Double click on the camera to put up the device parameters dialog. The input and output assembly sizes are
pulled from the EDS file. If they are changed from their defaults, an error will result, so leave them at the 496
byte size. Click ‘OK’ to close this dialog.
From the Edit Tag Sets click Edit Tags in the lower left. Click New in the Edit Tags dialog. Enter a start
address for the Input tag Set (D100) and select a size of up to 496 and click ‘Regist’, then ‘Close’ :
Leave Connection type as Point to Point Connection. Click the ‘Regist’ button then the close button:
Click OK to the Edit Device Parameters button. Under the Options Drop down menu > Select Interface >
Ethernet I/F:
Select the TCP:2 from the list of network and click Ok, this will pop up the Select Connected Network dialog
where you can create a new network or use the existing Network (Ethernet/IP_1):

the Network Configurator as well as seeing On-Line in the lower right of the status bar at the bottom of the
Network Configurator dialog
