I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

TutoC, as a tutoring agency, will provide quality tutoring service that covers
Mathematics, Sciences, and Language subjects for elementary learners with academic
deficiencies in Sagada, Mountain Province. It can be observed that many students at
different schools in Sagada have difficulties in coping up with their class lessons and
discussions which then results to having failing grades. In turn, this business is planned to
address this market need since there are no any established tutoring businesses offered
within Sagada.

The primary strategy of this business is to introduce and deliver unique learning
practices that will cultivate the learners' skills, and their full potential in learning. The
learners will not only have fun in doing the activities, but they will also learn from it.
Learners will in turn grow in their creativity, logical thinking, practicality, and reasoning as
well as their individual abilities and talents as their tutors share their learning experiences
and how they made their difficulties a key to come up with strategies to make learning fun
and easier.

TutoC will operate, firstly, by distributing flyers to public places, and as social media
(Facebook/ Instagram) post containing the information about the business. It includes the
name of the business together with its logo, the target market, the subjects being tutored,
the individual/ group pricing per 1-hr session and how it will be paid, the local where the
service is being rendered, and the contact information for inquiring. This will be a low-cost
but serves quality face to-face sessions which will be done at the client’s house.

Initial capitalization for the service is Php 125,000.00 which will cover all expenses in
starting the business. This is good for 3-months expense. The expected revenue from the
first year of the business is P1,090,000.00.

II. BUSINESS DESCRIPTION
A. Name of the Business

TutoC Tutoring Agency is the name of the business. The name “TutoC”, is a
combination of two words, “tutok”, which means “to give attention to” and “tutor” which
means “to teach”. With the name TutoC, the business aims to help learners in the fields or
subjects they are having a hard time coping with through giving them attention until they

B. Location of the business

The business headquarters’ location will be at Nangonogan, Patay, Sagada in front


of the newly built Bureau of Fire Protection building. The location is very ideal as it is just
along the road that can be easily seen by everyone. On the other hand, the location of the
tutoring business will primarily be at the client’s house, or any other location preferred by
the client that provides them comfortable learning environment and adequate focus.

C. Nature of business

The business belongs to education industry. This is because the primary objective of
tutoring services is to provide supplementary educational support to students in various
subjects, including but not limited to Mathematics, Languages, and Science. The goal is to
help students improve their academic performance by providing personalized one-on-one
or small group instruction that addresses their unique needs and learning styles.

Tutoring services are an essential component of the education industry because they
help bridge the gap between what students learn in school and what they need to know to
succeed academically. As such, tutoring services play a crucial role in the academic
success of students and are an important aspect to the education industry.

D. Business Logo

TutoC Tutoring Agency is represented with simple but meaningful


business logo. An owl is often associated with knowledge and wisdom

in various cultures, which makes it popular symbol for educational
services. In the context of a tutoring service, the owl carrying a diploma
in its talon represent the service’s commitment to providing knowledge
and academic excellence to its students.

The diploma in the owl’s talon suggests that the tutoring service is helping its
students achieve academic success and reach their goals. The letters forming the word
“tutoc” through Scrabble tiles represent its own agency and the concept of learning through
play. It suggests that learning can be fun and engaging. The Scrabble tiles convey the idea
of building knowledge one piece at a time, highlighting the incremental progress made
through consistent tutoring sessions. Overall, the logo conveys a sense of trust and
expertise and represents fun, interactive, and progressive nature of a quality tutoring

F. OWNERSHIP
TutoC Tutoring Agency is a tutoring business that will be owned by five
individuals who will share equal ownership. The form of ownership will be
partnership. Each partner will have an equal say in the business decisions
and an equal share of the profits and losses. The five partners will be:

There is a growing demand for tutoring services in our locality, as many parents and

Our target market will be elementary students who are struggling academically and in need
of additional support to improve their grades and academic performances. The target
market is defined as students in grade 1-6 who are performing below grade level in core
subjects such as Languages, Mathematics, and Science. These students may also have

TutoC Tutoring Services aims to provide personalized and individualized support to


elementary students who are struggling academically. We understand that every student
has unique needs and learning styles, so our tutors create a customized learning plan for
each student to ensure their academic success.

The agency covers wide range of subjects, including, Languages, Mathematics. And
Science. It also offers homework help, test preparation, and study skills training. Our tutors
use a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage students and make learning fun
and effective, such as flashcards and Kumon method.

The agency offers both one-on-one and group tutoring sessions depending on the
needs and preferences of our clients. Our tutoring sessions are conducted in-person, either
in the client’s home or a mutually agreed upon location.

TutoC Tutoring Agency provides exceptional tutoring services that not only to help our
clients succeed academically, but also foster their love fore learning and confidence in
themselves.

C. Pricing Strategies

Mostly, tutors charge the tutees with an hourly rate of P500.00. But since this
business is only new in the locality, the charge will be P250.00 per hour per client if only
one client, and P200.00 per hour per client if group session. This rate covers the service,
and the learning materials provided to the tutees.

D. Advertising and Promotional Strategies

Tutoc tutoring agency will use a variety of marketing and advertising strategies to
promote out tutoring services, including offline and online advertising, social media
marketing and referrals from satisfied clients. Our facebook page “Tutoc Tutoring Services”
will serve as our primary marketing tool, providing information about our services, tutor
profiles, and scheduling options. We will also leverage social platforms like Facebook and
Instagram to reach potential clients and engage with our audience.

In order to reach our target market, we will collaborate with local elementary schools,
community centers, and pranets to identify students who are in need of academic support.
