A Pleasant Trip to Hong Kong
Hong Kong is one of my favourite countries that I have ever
visited in my life to be honest, and this year it was my second time going there. I brought along my little brother, Afonso who is currently 6 years old and it was his first time there. Firstly, we woke up early in the morning at around 1 am to have breakfast. Then we went to the airport while listening to ‘Life is a Highway’ by Rascal Flatts. After we arrived there, we just did what an average person would do in the airport, except we went to chill at the lounge. Next, when our flight was commenced boarding, we rushed to the gate and were able to enter the airplane with no problems along the way. Then we exchanged flights on our way to Hong Kong and finally arrived at Panda Hotel around the area of Tsuen-Wan Street. I began to spot many famous cars along the way such as, a McLaren 720s, a couple of Lamborghini Gallardos and including other car manufactured by Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Tesla. I decided to chill and watched Nickelodeon with Afonso. After a few days passed by, we decided to practice for the International Hong Kong Youth Performance Arts Festival – a long name yes, I know – anyways, the competition is held every year mostly in February. We also had masterclass and basically, it’s when an expert teaches you to improve your skills, and thanked god we didn’t get a strict teacher. The final days has passed, and the competition was held, in which sadly, we both did not win but it was still an enjoyable experience. Finally, after the competition, we went to two theme parks which are Ocean Park and Disneyland. During the trip to Ocean Park, the waves of nostalgia started to hit me remembering that I went here approximately 8 years ago. We rode a couple of roller coasters, including the tallest roller coaster in the park which is called the ‘Hair-Raiser’ then when we went to Disneyland, it was way different than I remembered because the fact that the castle has changed its’ architecture made me didn’t recognize the park. I was pleasantly enjoyed in the park but the only thing that disturbed me was the customer service of the restaurant itself because my mom didn’t want a single bowl of rice but the employees didn’t care and put it anyway, but then she was asked if she included extra rice. Based on my opinion, I would like to visit Hong Kong another time, but I’m focusing on going to Taiwan for the upcoming piano competition.
