Graphic designs are needed in web applications to make them attractive to users, for advertisements, to create images and videos to be used in apps, and to effectively convey messages. Designs are saved as .PSD files in Photoshop for continued work. Photoshop is a raster graphics editor used for photo editing, manipulation, illustrations, designs, and graphics for websites and advertisements. It has tools, panels, and menus that allow the creation and editing of images. Vector graphics differ from raster graphics in that they are resolution independent, scalable, made of mathematical constructs, and have smaller file sizes compared to raster graphics which are resolution dependent, not scalable, made of pixels, and have larger file sizes.
