 English - Researching and analyzing literary works online to gather information and contextualize

them within historical and cultural contexts.

 Science - Conducting online research to investigate and understand the impact of climate change

on ecosystems and human health.

 Social Studies - Using online search skills to explore different political ideologies and analyze

their impact on society.

Motivation:

Activity 1: Online Research Project

Activity 2: Online Debate

utilizing online search and research skills to support their arguments.

Instructions:

 Divide students into teams and assign them different debate topics related to current social issues.

 Each team conducts online research to gather supporting evidence for their assigned stance.

 Teams participate in an online debate, presenting their arguments and countering opposing

arguments.

 Quality of arguments and supporting evidence: 25 pts

Analysis:

Activity 1 - The online research project allows students to demonstrate their ability to effectively search

for and analyze information online. By completing this activity, students develop their skills in evaluating

sources and organizing information, which are essential in contextualizing online research.

Activity 2 - The online debate activity requires students to utilize online search and research skills to

support their arguments. Through this activity, students develop their critical thinking, communication,

and information literacy skills by evaluating and presenting evidence from online sources.

Activity 3 - The collaborative online presentation activity enables students to apply their online search

and research skills to create an informative and visually appealing presentation. By working together,

students develop their teamwork and presentation skills while contextualizing their research within a

specific global issue.

Abstraction:
The main point of the objective, contextualized online search and research skills, is to equip students with

the ability to effectively search for and analyze information online. By developing these skills, students

will be able to evaluate the credibility of online sources, organize information, and contextualize their

research within different subject areas. This objective also emphasizes the importance of critical thinking

and information literacy in the digital age.

Application:

Task 1 - Students will be tasked to prepare a proposal for a community project based on their online

research. They must identify a problem in their community, conduct online research on possible solutions,

and present their proposal to the class.

Task 2 - Students will be assigned a current event and must utilize their online search and research skills

to gather information and present a summary of the event using visual aids such as infographics or videos.
