Background of The Study
Adolescence is a transitional stage from childhood to adulthood
that is characterized by physical, physiological, psychosocial
and behavioral changes that are influenced to a large extent
by the age, culture and socialization of the individual. To
explore what adolescent mothers perceive as their struggles
during the period of transition from childhood to parenthood
(through motherhood) and to describe strategies employed in
coping with stress of pregnancy, motherhood and parenthood.
Research Objectives
The Objective of this study is to understand early
teenage pregnancy, the stigmas related to being a
teenage mother, learning nursing implications to
stigmas, communication strategies related to the teen
mother clients; barriers to communication, and lastly,
the resources present in support to
the teen mothers

Scope
Delimitation
The researchers used descriptive to conduct a survey in Imelda
Naguilian La Union to acquire information from students regarding
the influence of being a teen mother into their studies. The target
respondents are the teen moms in Imelda Naguilian La Union. The
researchers used questionnaires which were given to the target
respondents, as a tool for gathering information to support the
study. This study is limited in timeframe and respondents as it only
included the teenage mother in Imelda Naguilian La Union and was
only conducted for a few days.
Population and Sample
The researcher conducted a survey with selected in Imelda, Naguilian,
La Union. In this study, the researchers were able to identify the
respondents by targeting learners at Barangay Imelda who possessed
that characteristics. The researcher used convenient sampling to
deliberate who to include in the study based on their characters and
experiences to provide data about the impact of early pregnancy in
Imelda, Naguilian, La Union.
Recomendation
The following suggestions are recommended for schools, teachers, leamers and future researchers
*School
-It is suggested that schools create a program about teenage parents to
encourage them to study -It is suggested that the school make a policy that cannot affect the teenage researcher
-It is suggested that the school provide an activity for teenage mothers
about teenage pregnancy to give advice or words of encouragement

•Teachers
-It is recommended that teachers protect the teenage parents from
bullying
-It is better to teach or discuss all lessons carefully for their success
-It is suggested that teachers help the teenage parents study hard even
though they have a child

*Learners
-It is recommended that learners show respect for the teenage parents
-It is better to help carry their baby than to judge it
*Future Researchers
It suggested to future researcher to conduct study in

Procedure
In conducting the survey the researcher made a letter
signed and approved by the researcher adviser. The letter
served as permission in gathering data and information.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
The present study was conducted to determine The Impact of Early

Teenage Pregnancy in Barangay Imelda, Naguilian, La Union. As stated in the

previous chapter, the researcher had a total of 16 early teenage members as

respondents. A questionnaire was used to collect data for the study. The

data were and interpreted as follows.

Based on the data gathered, 87% has pregnant in teen age year, and 13% has not.

Based on the data gathered, 75% are got pregnant in age of 16-17 years old

and 25% are got pregnant in age of 14-15 years old years

Based on the data gathered, 100% find out about their pregnancy
in home pregnancy test.
